Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle. A hazy orange beer with a thin disappearing orange head. The aroma is very spicy on a malty caramel back ground. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel, combined with a light spicyness. joergen (28108) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 12, 2006
Clear golden coloured with an off white head.
Sweet aroma of malts and caramel with notes of dried fruits.
Sweet flavour of malts, caramel, dried fruits and hops.
Dry hoppy finish. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 15, 2006
(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, amber golden with a small, off-white head. Rather unusual aroma, slightly nutty, but not overly clean or pleasant. Medium body with a very alcoholic note and some very distinct bittering hops. What’s in between the aroma and the finish is a bit uncertain, I’m just not very fond of it. 110606 madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUL 1, 2010
22nd May 2010. ChrisOs ’Blue Ridge Mountains Of Virginia’ tasting! Clear amber beer. Soft, dry, light palate. A little aged malt - minerally. Slight milk chocolate tone. Aged beer but not bad at all.

Bottle at Chris_o’s The Wolf tasting. Actually Rene, I brought this one. Amber colour with thin beige head. Little bit of must on aroma. Good Fullers beer with decent flavours in mouth. Aroma isn’t great, but the rest is very good and drinkable. FatPhil (16102) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 25, 2007
Bottle (Barrowboy?, London)
Dark orange, very lively large loose head. Winey and plummy aroma. Slightly alcoholic, but very tasty woody taste. Dark fruits and wine too. Very well balanced. Woody and malty finish. Pleasantly, but subtly, hopped too bhensonb (15191) - Woodland, California, USA - MAR 28, 2007
Bottle purchased at the Griffin Brewery. Bottle conditioned. Malty aroma. Deep amber color with a vigorous, frothy, lacing near-white head. Starts very malty. Lightly roasted malt impact. Passes to complex flavors, which seem to include chocolate. The chocolate stays, the malt goes, and the hop arrives. This is passing strange. Good, but strange.
