Brewed with a combination of five different malts, some heavily roasted for a near jet black appearance, and beneath its dark exterior features luxurious red berry notes, toasty aromas on the nose and culminates in a dry, bitter finish.

Kavu (5564) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 14, 2012
Pours very dark brown with a low tan head. Aroma is roasted malts. Flavor is mostly roasted malts too. The dryness works well with the lightness. Pretty nice low ABV stout.

Bottle from drinkstore.ie. There doesn’t seem to be an entry for the 4.5% bottle version so here goes. Silky black pour with a frothy tan head and lacing. Aromas of roasted malt, hint of coffee, vanilla and chocolate. There is a slight aroma of fig and berries. Black cab coats the mouth nicely and the flavour profile is quite subdued. Initial bitterness from the hops and coffee and quite meaty. Tasty but simples!!

Miksu (5052) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - MAR 26, 2012
Draught at Cosmic Comic Cafe, Turku. Black color. Aromas and flavors of coffee, charcoal and toffee. Dryish with medium bitterness. Some fruity Fuller’s house flavor. Very straightforward and a bit one dimensional stout.

Very black. Mediummbrown, creamy head. Chocolate aroma. Also some coffee to end with. Very good light stout.

finol (3569) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 24, 2012
Draught at Radisson Vasagatan. Pours black with a big and creamy tan head. Not much aroma but lots of rosted malt and coffee. Would never have guessed that this has the same abv as the Irish giant...

UPDATED: MAY 19, 2012
50 cl bottle.
This seems a bit dryer compared to draught. Nice balance between the toasty malts and very confined sweet chocolate. Very good.
Draught @ Gastropub Praha, Tampere.
Pours dark ruby red color with a thick medium head. Aroma of roasted malts, ash, chocolate notes and mild berries. Flavor of ashy chocolate, roasted malts, mild hoppy and slightly sour fruits and light berries. Quite nice.

Draught (4,5%) @ Gastropub Praha
Aroma has goldigs hops, toffee, some hay and coffee. Flavour has ash, licorice and coffee. Rather nice finish with lots of licorice. Nice and rather rich for this ABV.

Brandman (2970) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 27, 2012
Black body, light brown head. Aroma of sweet malt, metal, some roasted grains. Cold, metallic, some chocolate and acid in flavour. Easy, but not my favourite.

Draught @ Pub Kultainen Apina, Tampere. Rated on 19.1.2012.
Pours an almost black colour with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, some licorice and chocolate. Flavour of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and some bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation and a dry bitter finish. Well done.

rosenbergh (12166) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 21, 2012
Draught at Bierhuis Rotterdam, Helsinki, Finland.
Dark reddish brown colour with small tan head. Chocolate, roasted malt and some sweetness in aroma. Metal, roasted malt and mild hops in flavour. Thin and mild. Disappointment from Fuller’s.
