Bottle at home - poured black (well, very dark brown) - none of the ruby colouration seen with other stouts - with tan frothy head that dissipated but left tracing on the glass. Aroma - very remininscent of chocolate (70% cocoa of course - not milk). Flavour is chocolate and espresso coffee - with full, mellow mouthfell. Same again, please!

Bottle at Budapest. Opaque brown with brownish head. The aroma has lots of dark chocolate, roasted malt and hint of prune. Bitterish flavor with notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate and dried fruits, sourish. Medium-bodied. Very nice.

Preto profundo com creme bege escuro, media para baixa formacao e que rapidamente se esvai a um leve nata. Aromas de torrado, café e cacau. Sabor refrescante com torrado leve, baixo corpo, café e cacau bem presente. Levemente seca no final. Amargor e torrado bem harmonizado e suaves. Muito equilibrada e leve. hauxe (515) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - JAN 6, 2017
Pours virtually black from the bottle and leaves a finger thick tan head. The aroma is roasted coffee, and a whiff of chocolate. Taste is burnt toast with hints of chocolate and coffee. Overall mildly bitter with an inconsequential finish. Body is relatively light, which is probably to be expected for a 4.5ABV stout. Decent stuff.

Bottle. Pours dark brown to almost black, with small beige white head, quickly disappearing with minimal lacing. Nose is dominantly roasted malts and mild roasted coffee. Taste is light sweet followed by light bitterness. Lightly bodied with slightly oily texture and soft to flat carbonation.

czar (8312) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 15, 2016
bottle. pours unclear medium dark brown, dark orange tint, with a small beige cap offering some retention and lacing. burnt caramel, raisins, torrefied grains, medium roast coffee, some husks, woodsy, hint of acidity - coffee grain-like and burnt red fruits; dusty metal traces, earthy enish hops, almost clean english yeast action, lots of minerals. moderate carbonation, light body - oily; smooth woodsy-mineral finish. genuine stout - very oily yet quaffable, woodsy, earthy, burnt caramel.

Bouteille 500ml.

stevoj (4298) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 8, 2016
Bottle at Heathrow. Almost black pour with tiny beige head, barely more than a ring. Roast grain, burnt toast and s touch of sweetness for the aroma. Body seems a tad light. Taste had the roasty bitterness up front, V over notes, minor sweet flavors. Not bad, but on target.
