Brewed with a combination of five different malts, some heavily roasted for a near jet black appearance, and beneath its dark exterior features luxurious red berry notes, toasty aromas on the nose and culminates in a dry, bitter finish.

It’s better, cause 1845 is too sweet and too mediocre tasting, inbetween color of light-dark. Black Cab is more proper, slight taste of an ashtray, not sugary, pleases me for what this should be for a lower priced dark beer.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2018 Pitch black with a small brownish head; aroma is roasty, bready, fruity; taste is quite low in sweetness, roast and biscuits, fruity, roasty and hoppy bitter finish; texture is thin and silky

Pours dark, I didn't get much head or lacing. Tastes of roasted malt, black coffee, slight citrus and low bitterness. Another go-to from Fuller's

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2017 From a 500ml bottle. Pours pitch black with a thin beige head which disappeared quickly. A nice chocolate and roasted barley aroma with a sweet, slightly bitter taste and dark chocolate and dark fruit notes. Not a big fan of the Fullers beers but this stout is nice.

Keg @ Örebro Ölhall. Looks clear, black, creamy khaki head, rich lacing. Cold coffee nose, milk chocolate and bread. Dry and light mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Creamy chocolate taste, fudge, coffee and cocoa bitterness. Dry and bitter finish.

BeardedAvenger (1264) - Addlestone, Surrey, ENGLAND - NOV 17, 2017
Keg at White House, Guildford. Coffee aroma with a tangy edge. Dark. Thick beige head. Looks very good in the branded glass. Light bitter. Kinda sweet and sour. Malty. Light bodied but creamy. Flat carbonation. Abrupt finish. Decent enough but didn't really do that much for me.

lidor1995 (153) - ISRAEL - NOV 12, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 12, 2017 Pours from the bottle black with no head, chocolate aroma strongly present, taste of chocolate and coffee, a little burnt after taste and oddly enough, cheese

Nice caramel flavours. Roasted with lovely intense sweet flavours. Its strength makes it very quaffable to boot.

einherjar (498) - Rijeka, CROATIA - OCT 25, 2017
Black color, small beige head. Aroma roasted malt, caramel. Taste roasted malt, dark chocolate, dry bitter finish. Above average stout.

Half of keg on the Fullers brewery tour. Black in the glass like any proper stout and with a minimal head. It was all roasted and toasted malts with plenty of welcome bitterness. A smooth mouth feel and a pleasure to drink. A solid beer and one to drink again.

A bottle from Jason's near NCCU, drunk at home. Aroma: toast, caramel, vegetables. Appearance: hazy cola, 1-2 mm. tan lacing. Palate: light-bodied and thin, soft carbonation, pronounced roasted finish. Taste: lightly sweet and bitter, over-roasted coffee, a discordant ashtray note at the finish. Just alright.
