COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The fourth incarnation of Brewer’s Reserve spent a year in the Fuller’s cellar in rare Comte de Lauvia Armagnac casks from the Bas region of France. The beer is infused with brandy characteristics, with distinctive notes of vanilla, green apple and cinnamon, a solid malt base and velvety alcohol warmth.

Bottle. Pours a deep copper-hued amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Aroma is raisins, oak, vanilla, bubble gum, dark grape-like tones, hints of banana and subtle grassy hints. Taste is grains, Armagnac, caramel malts, hints of wood and subtle herbal touches. Very smooth. Soft carbonation, full body. A great sipper; crafty and delicious as most beers I get from Fuller’s.

500ml Bottle (#27669). Wine glass. Enjoyed on feb´13. Reddish amber color. Clear appearance. Off-white & lively froth so head quickly dissipates. Intense vanilla & cinnamon fragrances, caramel malts, subtle brandy notes & sugary alcohol to the nose. Toasted malty upfront is touched by fruity, sugary & chocolate powder flavors. Medium to full body. Moderate to soft carbonation. Bitterness in the middle balances malts & provides a fruity/tartar funny palate. Subtle warming alcohol. Dry bitter finish. Kind brandy-like heat on the aftertaste.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - no. 20128, from Alko Arkadia, 20130305) The beer poured mahogany coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had malts, banana, wood, cognac and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, banana, wood, fruitiness, sweetness and low bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, woody and bitter. Initially this beer was like a weizen aged in wood but quite soon the cognac-like flavours came forward. Towards the end the beer flavours became more and more hidden. Too unbalanced to be really good.

Deep dark amber-brown in colour with a steady head and smooth body. The bottle and the cartonage is really special, just to mention. The beer has a nose of hops and malt. Taste of spicy hops, white pepper, thyme, rosmary, peaches, strong alcohol, nuts and there is some gentle whiskey/wooden cask hint in the background. It was nice haven drunken such a special and limited beer.

Ruby highlighted pour. Big off white head that falls fast. Not much lacing. Nice malty aroma with hints of wood. Slight acetic note, but barely. Bit boozy in the back. Some sweetness. Decent beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2 x 500 ml bottle. #15626 and #30924. BBE 2022. Courtesy of Brandman. HHOK XIII.
Slightly cloudy red colour with small white head. Mild berries, some sweetness and mild bitterness in the aroma. Something nice, something quite unpleasant in the aroma. The flavour is caramel malt, mild berry bitterness, mild acidity, rosebud and mild hops. Fizzy. Not that nice, too sweet. Mild bitterness in the aftertaste.

Clear copper body, whiteish head. Aroma has sweet malts, some perries, bit sourness. Sweet malts, nuts, alcohol, very acidic, very tanninic, leaves oaked perry cider taste. Well carbonated. Very intense, really aromatic, but bit off.
