COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The fourth incarnation of Brewer’s Reserve spent a year in the Fuller’s cellar in rare Comte de Lauvia Armagnac casks from the Bas region of France. The beer is infused with brandy characteristics, with distinctive notes of vanilla, green apple and cinnamon, a solid malt base and velvety alcohol warmth.

Clear copper body, whiteish head. Aroma has sweet malts, some perries, bit sourness. Sweet malts, nuts, alcohol, very acidic, very tanninic, leaves oaked perry cider taste. Well carbonated. Very intense, really aromatic, but bit off.

Bottle. Clear amber with a short lived head. Aroma is dark fruit and vino. Flavour is strong fruit, texture is thin. Finish has the warm glow of spirits leading to a sharp palate

Amber coloured and clear. Has a white head, medium duration. Sweet aroma, mellow and sharp notes from the cask of armagnac, different from other types of casks, a bit astringent. Flavor starts sweet, then some spicy alcohol notes. Warming alcohol. Dry texture.

Bottle @ Vinens Verden, Odense. Pours clear ruby amber with a fully lasting white head. Nose is sweet of oak, caramel and fruit. Some orange, marmelade and vanilla. Flavor is caramel, oak, vanilla and orange. Very malty with a good complexity. Easy to go at though and quite low key. Smooth and soft. Tasty.

After my poor year old Fullers Vitage 2011 this was great. The initial flavour was uncooked bread, and oranges. The beer poured an amber colour with a caramel, quick clearing head. The taste was spirits, warm alcohol, oranges and was malty rich, The beer was nice and will be a re buy each year now. Fullers are costing me too much!

the appearance is an attaractive copper color, off-white head. Aroma is grapes, vanilla, grapes, other dark fruits, caramel, toffee. The flavor is just like the aroma, vineous, sweet, oak, vanilla. Medium in body. Nicely done.

Skinnyviking (9584) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 31, 2012
Bottle. High creamy long lasting off-white head. Beautiful deep dark amber body. Sweet and mild apple pear wood caramel aroma with a hint of alcohol as well. Surprisingly bitter flavor with heavy notes of armanac and alcohol combined with caramel and vanilla. Extremely high amount of carbonation and a long bitter finish. A bit too agressive on the alcohol level. Some storage would undoubtedly do this beer good.
