500ml bottle (Brevinga BB, Riga)Psytron (2443) - Turku, FINLAND - OCT 18, 2013
Lovely fruity aroma. Sharp berries, red, blue, and black. Mahogany, persistent small off-white head. Very light palate, no sign of 8.5% from the feel. Later, more apricots in the aroma. Light breadiness, malts just a touch papery. Touch solvently later, alas. More toasty too, sweeter. Gentle dry earthy hoppy bite. Late finish has a slightly acidic hayey tingle.
Bottle #00998. Smell of armagnac. Copper colour, extreme beige head. Aroma of alcohol, toffee, armagnac, a faint of metal. Sweet. Flat carbon, rather oily. Boutip (6483) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 17, 2013
Bottle: Poured a copper color ale with a relatively large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of caramelized sugar and light toffee notes is warming and interesting. Taste is also dominated by caramelized malt notes with a side of toffee with limited residuals sugar. Barrel-aging was not as apparent as I was expecting but provided a well-rounded aftertaste. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. I really enjoyed the malt profile on this one but would have preferred a bit more from the barrel treatment. zimbo (970) - SCOTLAND - OCT 12, 2013
Spirits boozy nose. Rich. Super easy off white head. Slick. Raisins, some light clove, some metallic. Interesting. Erzengel (9338) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - OCT 6, 2013

Bottled. Pours clear amber with a large, lacing off-white head. Aroma of caramel, wood and armagnac notes. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry and with bitter notes. Medium bodied, oily text.and soft carb. A nice ale indeed. CarlJonas (231) - Linköping, SWEDEN - OCT 2, 2013
Amber colour, big, long-lasting off white head. Sherry aroma. Taste is quite sherrylike as well, dry but sweet with some sour notes and alcohol. Mid-low carbonation, quite rich mouthfeel. This really comes down to how much you like sherry and/or brandy I guess, since the taste is rather vineous and boozy. I quite like though. tseo (153) - Athens, GREECE - SEP 28, 2013
Aroma: Wood, alcohol, brandy, caramel, raisins, cranberries, cinnamon, a lot of orange peel... Rich and complex.
Mouthfeel: Lively carbonation, oily texture, medium to big body.
Taste: Tart, boozy, vinous, semi-sweet. Flavours of grape, orange, fig marmalade, pear. Good balance. Quite strong, though.
Finish: Fruity, dry to semi-sweet.
Overall: Another great recipe from Fullers. A must-try for strong Ale lovers. ej (1330) - Hauglandshella, NORWAY - SEP 25, 2013
Clear, light brown with tints of amber with a bubbly, fully diminishing light tanned head. Rich cognac aroma with oak, vanilla, toffee and a light fruityness. Taste is relatively dry and bitter, with hints of cognac, dark fruits and light caramel/malts. Body is medium with close to high levels of carbonation. hallinghansen (3403) - Odense SV, DENMARK - SEP 13, 2013
Clear amber body with a medium offwhite head. Aroma is dark fruit, oak, caramel. Flavour is caramel, fruit, oak, some tartness.
