Bottle & keg (USA); Pasteurised.
First brewed in 1971. Ingredients: Pale Ale malt, Crystal malt and Maize; Target, Challenger, Northdown and Goldings hops.
Brewed at 5.5% ABV in cask and 5.9% ABV in bottle, ESB is a true liquid legend, and should be savoured as such.
ESB has a wonderful rich mahogany appearance. Taking in the nose, the beer is bursting with cherry and orange, balanced by soft malty toffee and caramel notes. The flavour delivers everything you would expect from such a full-bodied ale. The unique blend of Northdown, Target, Challenger and Goldings hops imparts grassy, peppery notes on the tongue along with intense citrus fruit characters of grapefruits, oranges and lemons. The blend of Pale Ale and Crystal malts in the brew give a biscuity, toffee element to the beer. A smooth, mellow bitterness lingers on the palate to give a superbly satisfying finish.

Nagyon finom malátás ízek jellemzik. Tipikus angol komlós íz világ. Nekem nagyon bejött.

Ar: Pineapple and dried orange; hay and moss; apple skins and warm, toasted malt. Ap: True orange and clear; medium beige head with moderate retention, settling into a very thin but solid cap of small and medium bubbles. T: Toasted malt, candied apple; dried pineapple and red apple skins; medium-low bitterness; moss, black currant, and black pepper hop flavors; medium sweetness; finish is more apple skin and a little golden syrup. P: Medium-light body with medium carbonation; medium-dry finish. O: A substantial English ale; classic British yeast character; depth of malt, hop, and yeast flavors, all working together harmoniously.

Pours a brown colour. Taste is quite malty, some fruit and sweetness. Quite a nice bitter

Bottle at home, 23rd February 18. Pours chestnut brown. Aroma is malt, caramel. Taste is nutty, malt, caramel, biscuit. Really great example of this style and enjoyable by the fire, even with the cold I have!

Dobré pivko od Fullers, pro mě dost zajímavý tento pivní styl. Lehká, kořeněná vůně i chuť, silnější perlivost a vyšší říz, lehké tělo a jemná pěna.

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2018 Bottle many times. Pours light copper with little, tightly packed head. Good lacing on the glass. Aroma is toffee malt, dry and toasty, grass, a bit of citrus and earthiness, faint fruitty esters, almost apricot like. Taste is honey, light caramel, dry, roasty notes, grass, light citrus notes. The beer is dry-ish, but does not feel dry at all. Medium body with a lovely mouthfeel. Present bitterness, yet not annoying. Great aftertaste, which does not linger with a prolonged bitterness. Easy to drink and enjoyable. Very, very good.

Pours clear, dark amber with thin head. Aroma is caramel and cut grass. Taste start with sweet caramel, building a hop backbone with floral note. Finish retains a touch of bitterness. An interesting, tasty beer.

Moje pierwsze spotkanie z klasyczną interpretacją stylu, wcześniej piłem polskie. Tutaj znacznie bardziej chmielowo. Zapach to mieszanka estrów,słodu i wyspiarskiego tytoniowo/ziołowego chmielu z przewagą chmielu. Smak jest słodowo ziołowo estrowy Goryczka niska wysycenie też Bardzo fajne piwo do picia bez większego myślenia idealne na grilla

Klar bernsteinfarben mit weißer Schaumkrone. Vordergründig malziger, leicht hopfiger Geruch. Geschmacklich vordergründig malzig süß, etwas Karamell, leicht grasiger Hopfen, ausbalancierte, leichte Bitterkeit. Leichter Körper mit sanfter Kohlensäure. Sehr erfrischend und geradlinig.
