Bottle. Alcohol aroma is apparent from the pour, which is red brown with a rapidly diminishing head. Taste is malty with some orange, a slight bitterness and a finishing alcohol burn. saxo (18301) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - MAR 17, 2010
Bottle. Medium head with medium duration. Color is dark amber. Aroma and taste are rich malt, fruits, spices and notes of alcohol. begbie100 (181) - Oulu, FINLAND - MAR 13, 2010
500ml bottle, copper color, white semithick head. Hoppy aroma with citrus and apricot. Flavour has also apricot, caramel and licorique, sourness and some bitterness at the end. Croff (164) - Ostra Sonnarslov, SWEDEN - MAR 12, 2010
Pours a clear copper amber. Off white head that fades to fine lace fast. Fruity hop caramel aroma. Taste is bit sweet caramel brown sugar. Medium carbonation and body. Smooth, pretty well rounded. Finish is clean and sweet, earthy grainy. Lacks bitterness. Okay brew. Nothing special. I doubt if I would drink it again. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 9, 2010
[2652-20091211] Cask. Sweet heavy grainy malt aroma. Clear, dark amber red body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Sweet thick syrupy grainy malt flavour. Medium body is bitter and thick. Not bad, fairly golden and pridey.

Bottle. Clear reddish-copper color with a medium, quickly-diminishing, white head. Nice aroma with biscuity malt, toffee, caramel, fruity notes and some hops. Flavor starts with some sweet chewy maltiness and caramel, and continues with a pleasant, somewhat spicy, hop bitterness and a bit of alcohol. Medium-bodied. Pretty good. UTS: Oxiderad koppar , krämigt skum, persiko färgat skum
Smak: alkoholen dols skickligt bakom den fylliga maltigheten, Perfekt ale. Leta genast upp den ale på tapp.

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Light malty-sweetness and moderate bitter vry well-balanced flavor. Long nice finish. Creamy palate. Much better than many barleywines...... manuchampions (1244) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 19, 2010
(Bottled) Slightly hazy reddish amber color with a medium, thick and foamy head. Barley-wineous, quite sweet-toffeeish aroma with rye-puddingy maltiness. Medium to full-bodied, slightly fizzy-carbonated, sticky-sugary palate. A quite nice strong ale - although quite sweet and sticky. Not bad at all. kwik-lime (1926) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 8, 2010
Nice. Pours a deep orange colour, alcohol very noticable at first with elements of butterscotch and licorique. Fruity aftertaste, this is a good beer, maybe if the alcohol was a little more disguised I’d go even higher.
