Goldings hops and Golden Promise malt.
At 8.5% ABV, Golden Pride guarantees a superb range of flavours, that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning of palates. Our brewers describe Golden Pride thus: í deep amber in appearance, Golden Pride is full bodied, of moderate bitterness, moderately hopped and rich in malt. Full flavoured, and reminiscent of sweet orange oil, toasted grains, and bread. Rich malty aromas lead to a similarly styled palate, with an intense finish. Sweet and bitter flavours are expressed in good balance in this weighty brew.í Or as the late Michael Jackson, beer writer and connoisseur, put it: íthe Cognac of beersí.

Nice. Pours a deep orange colour, alcohol very noticable at first with elements of butterscotch and licorique. Fruity aftertaste, this is a good beer, maybe if the alcohol was a little more disguised Iíd go even higher.

Tasted at Den Tatoverede Enke in DK. Was paired excellently with their Sheppardís pie. Not my favourite Fullerís beer, but tasty. Pours an amber colour with white head. Taste is quite sweet, with caramel malty body, notes of apricot, cloves and grassy bitter finish.

0.33L bottle, small stable head, crystal clear and a little pale copper colour, strong aroma of yeast and herbal hops with some earthy notes. Dominant malty flavours with some nuts and light raisins and a caorse alcoholic presence which is a bit overwhelming and not very pleasant, big bodied. Could be better.

Bottled 50cl. Caramel, white pepper, leafy earthy english hops, pear, sweat, pop corn, bergamot orange, salt and wild strawberries in the nose- reminiscent of Youngís special London ale with a lot more butterscotch, diacetyl-elements. Caramel accentuated. Nutty and remarkably leafy. Potato components sneaking in. Complex. Sweetish. Low bitterness. Sweet leafy finish which is reminiscent of caramel. Nice, but dissapointing comparing to other beers froms Fullerís. Iím not a big fan of Cognac. (Michael Jacksonís comparison). This beer definitely doesnít deserve a high rating.

A good brew, howerever it has a bitterness I donít appreciate. It is sweet, and has an asprin-like bitterness.

Bottle from Sainsburyís supermarket. Attractive mahogany pour with good fluffy white head. Aroma is oranges/caramel. Tastes of orange, caramel, honey, festive fruits, very rich. A really warming, satisfying and delicious beer and dangerously drinkable. Glad I bought 12 bottles for Christmas!

Bottle. Rich coppery orange-amber with scant head. Aroma is rich, slightly rusty, metallic, with burnt sugar, caramel, jaggery. Nice quaffability, soft palate. Nice burnt lingering aftertaste after a pleasant malty body. Burnt cookie character. Tasty.
