Bronze coloured ale with small head. Caramel malts, some bitter cherry and some toffee sweetness. Caramel, toffee, some ripe fruits and mainly sweet flavors. Some bitterness at the end. Rich texture and enjoyable Strong Ale. CanCrusher (1178) - Ilirska Bistrica, SLOVENIA - DEC 2, 2012
Bottle. Pours clear deep amber colour, with small light brown head. Rich and intensive sweety aroma of orange, peach, ananas, caramel. Full bodied ale, lightly sweet at the start, but then turns into a bitter aftertaste. You can feel the taste of smoke and cask wood in the mouth. There is also a sign of alcohol in the background. Very nice balanced beer. Bozo_skeleton (1165) - Grenoble, FRANCE - OCT 26, 2015
Ambrée caramel, carbo tres faible, petit collet fin.
0.5 l bottle from Alko. Dark amber colour, almost no head. Taste has some bitterness, butterscotch, drid fruits. All in all a complicated balance between sweet and sour. rozsoma (1163) - Gyõr, HUNGARY - DEC 30, 2011
Nice amber fizzy colour, small white frothy head. Malty aroma, soft carbonation, sweet flavour, minimal bitterness. Dry but refreshing.

I tried this beer on November 20, 2011 after purchasing from the Queen’s Quay LCBO outlet in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer pours a translucent dark reddish gold colour with a thin rocky tan cap. The aroma was grains, sweet malt, caramel, and floral hops. The mouthfeel was medium bocied with medium carbonation. The flavour was cereal, sugar, and grains. Has a lot in common with a North American Stock Ale. Definitely not my favourite beer from Fuller’s.
500mL lickbow bottle. Pours exactly like the picture which is comforting I guess. Smells of creamy chrystal malt and a faint whiff of British hops. Not booze. Flavour has more depth to it, with pale and chrystal malt backing up some semi-spicy hops. Alcoholic bite in the finish. Despite the strength and thicker body, it still has a creamy feel to it and goes down easily. I like how Fuller’s can produce beers at very high alcoholic percentages which you still want to pound away because of how delicious they are. Gets waaaaay better as it warms. Claims to be ’...reminiscent of sweet orange oil’. I wasn’t aware oranges produced an oil, interesting. Thanks Fuller’s! hohops (1157) - Kent, ENGLAND - MAR 30, 2014
Appearance- quite clear, dark orangey amber, a small beige bubbly head which disappears quickly. Aroma- orangey, marmalade, raisin hints, malt, tangerine, fruity, a bit of hops. Taste- fairly full bodied, lots of zesty, orange fruit flavours, marzipan hints, sugary marmalade, smooth and delicious. Excellent. Dalle (1145) - Skørping, DENMARK - OCT 9, 2003
Small lasting head. Dark amber colour. Malty, nutty, toffee, vinous, nice bitterness, alcohol... Full bodied. Very nice. mutz (1144) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 19, 2012
Van de tap in de klep, ABT bier van de maand. Helder roodbruin bier. Ruikt wat zurig en moutig. Smaakt idem. Medium body. De 8,5 procent alcohol valt niet op. Niet zo mijn smaak.
