Pasteurised bottle. Also available in keg for export only. The very occasional cask version is only available in the UK and has a separate listing.
Goldings hops and Golden Promise malt.
At 8.5% ABV, Golden Pride guarantees a superb range of flavours, that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning of palates. Our brewers describe Golden Pride thus: í deep amber in appearance, Golden Pride is full bodied, of moderate bitterness, moderately hopped and rich in malt. Full flavoured, and reminiscent of sweet orange oil, toasted grains, and bread. Rich malty aromas lead to a similarly styled palate, with an intense finish. Sweet and bitter flavours are expressed in good balance in this weighty brew.í Or as the late Michael Jackson, beer writer and connoisseur, put it: íthe Cognac of beersí.

Clear dark amber body with a quickly disappearing head. Nose has some raisin, floral malt and caramel notes. Taste is bittesweet with a raisiny and fruity flavor and a softly bitter finish. Carbonation is soft but rich with lots of bubbles. Palate is rich and creamy. The alcohol is extremely well hidden, this does not even warm you up like other BW:s. Well made but a little one-dimensional.

Bottle 50 CL. Pours copper with white small lacing head, berries. Notes of caramel, herbs, alcohol warmth. Sweet rounded caramel taste. Interesting ale.

Bottle from Csak a jů sŲr. Poured ruby-red, with a tan, creamy lacing foam. Honey, caramel, plum, raisins, yeast, and perhaps some herbs in the nose. There is a slight citrusy hint lurking somewhere in there, but the (delicious) hops kind of overpower it. Medium dense, oily, medium carbonated. Alcohol well hidden, with a sweet, roasty aftertaste that lasts. Pretty good!

Love this stuff. Pours a clear orange with a fizzy head. The aroma is sweet, toffee, candied orange, booze, biscuit. The flavour is also sweet, with toffee and candied orange flavours up front, booze, pepper and a light touch of hops in the finish. Syrupy mouth feel. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Golden clear with big head. Caramel, muscy aroma. Malt, alcohol, candy. Malty hoppines in the aftertaste. Ok beer

Caramel, bread, dried fruits, brown sugar, grains and grass in the aroma. Amber with a white head. Medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter. Full body with a soft carbonation. Overall a rich flavoured and well balanced brew with some warming alcohol in the finish.

50cl bottle, as shown. Pours a beautiful mahogany with a medium-sized, creamy off-white head with decent retention and plenty of lacing. Aroma is of dried fruit: raisins, some orange peel, plus caramel. Medium carbonation and a thick, creamy and oily mouth feel that, at 8.5 % abv, should surprise no one. A full-bodied strong ale, as Iíve come to expect from Fullerís. Taste is of sweet roasted malt, toffee, stewed dark berries, with a lot of herbal spices adding to the complexity of this brew - again with a freshening note of orange peel. Malty, full, medium dry finish and gripping, slightly boozy after taste. Very similar to the much more expensive "Vintage Ale", which seems logical if that beer is indeed based on Golden Pride (same abv, to begin with). Unlike the "Vintage" variety, itís pasteurized. As with all the strong ales and premium esbs from Fullerís, this one is beautifully balanced, with the strong alcohol well integrated into the intricate fabric of aromas. Sweetness and malty bitterness complement each other brilliantly, If youíre searching for the perfect "fireside brew", look no further.

Clean dark amber color, small beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, dried fruits, nuts, honey, spicy hops. Sweet and mildly bitter taste with hoppy finish and sweet malty aftertaste. Medium body and average carbonation. Quite good English strong ale.
