Cask. Amber in colour. Very Malty; toasty malts, caramel / toffee. Fruity; citrus-orange, marmalade. Earthy and quite spicy (peppery). Smooth. Alcohol well disguised. Sweet very malty and fruity ale. Long dry malty finish. OK beer, but I prefer the bottled version. (2009) MrTipple (6570) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 12, 2016
Sweet grain malts, caramel, toffee, alcohol, dark fruits. Clear, dark gold, medium, creamy, off-white head. Medium sweet. Some sweet citrus fruits, more caramel and toffee, flat carbonation, full bodied, more alcohol and sweet malts in the finish. Feels a bit unbalanced, aroma is simplistic but not bad, palate is off though. Cask at Harp, Covent Garden. ManVsBeer (10967) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAR 29, 2016
Cask @ The Grove, Huddersfield. Dark copper with a thin head. Strong tasting, with a sticky sweetness in its texture, and sugary-sweet in both aroma and taste. DerGantzel (445) - Aarhus, DENMARK - FEB 6, 2016
Sweet aroma of fruits and herbs with notes of caramel. Clear and reddish brown appearance. High sweetness and light-medium bitterness. Soft carbonation, medium body. Fine, but very sweet, cask ale. MGantzel (274) - Aalborg, DENMARK - FEB 6, 2016
Denne cask har et klart rød-brunligt udseende med et svagt hvidt skum. Øllen har en sød aroma og smager meget sødt af karamel og med noter af lakrids. Bitter afrunding. Lav karbonering.

Bar, Copenhagen - pours dark Amber with an off white head and lacing. Aroma and taste is sweet malty with caramel, brown sugar, fruit cake like with some nice dried fruit action, some light fruity spices, great condition, very nice. Rated this pretty low on bottle back in 2012, but this is a different beast on cask. Lovely.

Cask at PSBH, Manchester. Reddish amber shade. Light tan head. Notes of citrus peel, toffee and winter berries. Quite an earthiness too. Taste hides the alcohol for the most part but is slightly on the sticky and gluey side. Pleasant strong ale. The_Osprey (9343) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 3, 2015
Nov 2015 - Cask, handpull at The White Horse Old Ale Festival. 8.5%. Dark orange or light brown, still, clear, small bubbly tan head, dotted lacing. Aroma is red berry, rhubarb pie, touch of vanilla, yeast and maybe a hint of sulphur. Body is medium, smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is resin, vanilla, redcurrant, semisweet with a touch of booze showing up. Very nice. A pleasant surprise. SilverfoX (879) - Norfolk, ENGLAND - NOV 23, 2015
raisins, figs, plum aromas, mahogany colour with some white lacing, rich figgy flavour very smooth with hints of tobacco, no taste of alcohol. Kosmokrator (849) - ITALY - NOV 22, 2015
Alla spina. Una ale dorata e mediamente schiumosa, maltata e mediamente luppolata con note di caramello, frutta secca e alcool. Buon corpo, amaro discreto, strutturata a sufficienza. Chissà la bottiglia.
