COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mainly bottle conditioned; Special. Has been seen on cask.

This limited edition brew is a unique collaboration between brewery and beer writer. Melissa Cole brought her vast experience to the tasting table and helped us deliver a stout worth writing home about.

Brewed in the traditional style that became a favourite royal court, this limited edition Imperial Stout has been specially created as a single brew. In a unique addition to the historic recipe, the floral character of the Centennial hops is enhanced by the inclusion of rose buds, lending a hint of Turkish delight flavour to the beer. This Imperial Stout has a rich, dark appearance with strong chocolate and deep cherry notes which lead to a lighter, bitter finish.

Pours inky, jet black with small tan head. Good malty aroma, toffee, licorice and turkish delight with a nice floral hop character. Rich flavour with a bit of sweetness upfront, a fairly boozy alcohol character and a solid bitter finish. Plenty of body, moderate carbonation. Hard to describe as anything but delicious. The bottle was a birthday present from my wife...the best possible present!

Roasted and dark fruits, dates, figs, cherry, some cocoa, dark brown with a good tan head, medium body, average carbonation, good thickness, more fruits in the mouth with again cherry, some chocolate and probably it's just a suggestion but i taste the rose buds...quite nice for sure!

Boxed bottle. Waitrose. Clear, dark cola brown. Thin and dense, lasting, tan head. Glossy legs. Nose is all molasses and liquorice up front. Fruity, dark chocolate. Bit of a raspberry truffle thing going on. Big roast malt. Some soy. Taste is sour, and salty roast bitterness. Like the crust on a roast rib of beef. Not that I ever eat beef. Smooth mouthfeel. Lightly saline. Some fruit tartness. Low carbonation. Super drinkable. Tangy and roast bitterness to finish. Great beer. No pastry here.

Boxed from waitrose. Black with a foamable body. Subsides. Scent is bitter barrel notes but fairly light. Taste is quite intensive barrel notes. Tang. Cedar. A bit of Capsaicin. Oil. Further grain. Lovely malt profile. Smooth and complex. Incredible. Surprising. Excellent.

On tap. Pours a clear dark brown almost black with a medium, creamy, long lasting, beige head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate and licorice. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, licorice, dark chocolate, cherry and light alcohol with a dry, bitter finish. Medium to full body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Tasty and well balanced. Very drinkable, the ABV is well hidden.

Quel plaisir. (2432-170118)

Vynikající imperial stout. V chuti dominuje silná hořkosladká chuť s tóny kávy a višní, masivní a bohatý říz, silná perlivost a bohatá krémová pěna. Super zkušenost.
