Clear amber with a big foamy white head. Aroma is malt sweetness with a shy hop background. Also rather shy taste. Good carbonation. Drinkable, but not much more than that.

Clear, deep gold to copper colored, medium white frothy head, nice lacing. Aroma is of malt, biscuit, light caramel, citrus lemony and herbal, light grassy notes. Taste is medium sweet malt and biscuit, bit caramel, moderate lemony-orange citrus, bit fruity and grassy hoppy notes, medium bitterness, dry finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily. Not as hoppy as American IPAs but a proper Englishman!

Bottle from Jumbo Los Ángeles, Chile. Pours amber and clear with a light head. Aroma has notes of resin and citrus hops, and some smells of the caramel of the malt. The taste is quite similar, hoppy like most of IPAs, but in this case flavors of hops don’t flood the beer. I expected notes of hops more powerful but this is just a personal opinion. I think it’s a "light" IPA. In fact, it has just 5,3% ABV. Also, I can feel notes of caramel and toffee. Non esters. Non yeasty flavors.

Not my sort of IPA, Poured a medium amber, malty pallet and ok bitterness but was just lacking something. easy to drink but wanted more of the classic big english IPA bite

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, 500ml. *** Colour: Hazy amber, big off-white head. *** Nose: Mix of pinewood and toffee notes, some spices, orange peel. *** Mouthfeel: Medium body, a bit watery. Medium carbonation. *** Taste: Tropical fruit, mild pinewood, some leather, hints of toffee and licorice at first. hops and toffee malt in the intriguing middle, again with a bit of licorice. Medicinal notes, pine and resin in the finish, long after taste of toffee, pine and some lemon. *** Impressions: Different label, same complex, fascinating beer as always. Lots of different spices, fine malty depth, and still unmistakeably an IPA. Not only one of Fuller’s best beers, but one of the best of its style overall. Great beer!

pityu (681) - Budapest, HUNGARY - AUG 23, 2016
Bottle - Clear light amber colour, medium, mostly lasting off-white head. Lightly toasted malty aromas, some biscuit, caramel and herbal and fruity hops. Taste is bittersweet with caramel, lightly toasted malts, bread and fruity notes. Medium body, soft carbonation, slick texture, a bit grassy and gently bitter finish. Nice, well balanced classic English IPA.
