Pours a deep brown with a tan head. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, and dark fruits. Taste is very mellow with subtle hops in there but the malts dominate here. Carbonation is very soft and the bitterness is rather tame. Overall it is a very drinkable porter, and one great example of the style.

From bottle (BB Sept'18) in porter glass. Pours dark brown with thin tan head and choc malt aroma. Taste and palate are rich and complex as per the label with some sour notes in the finish. Glad to finally find this online and try side-by-side with Anchor.

Bottle. Pours deep dark with off white head, with tightly packed bubbles. Aroma is mild roasted malt, dark fruit, liqourice, brown sugar, molasses. Flavour is subtle, yet assertive black roasted malts, caramel and dark fruit, dark sugar, lots of residual sweetness, but not cloying. Great body, velvety mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Extremely well balanced bitterness. Gorgeous beer!

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2018 Pivo u flaši. Komercijala. Jako slab Porter. Aroma još kakva takva ali po okusu slab. Zmajsko je za njega pet klasa iznad!

Experience matters. I like my fine American micro's, but these guys pretty much invented this style of beer, and it shows. My overall rating factors at a 4.2. It would have been higher if it weren't for a very mild aroma, and a very flat appearance. The fragrance is familiar, but it doesn't rock the senses. It' smells like chocolate and something roasted, maybe fried wild rice. The taste is very chocolaty, but not overly sweet. The mouth feel is heavy. When you dip a finger, the surface has a slight resistance. This is not watered down for a low abv beer. Any way it's a good one. Can't wait to try it on tap.
