4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A fine example of the British style, much different than North American Porters. Fuller’s does a fine job and this brown bear with a crimson streak is no exception. The big tan head releases smokey, roasty, chocolate, light coffee and nutty fragrances. It’s a bit sweet, a bit smoked and with a bitter balance. The curvy, medium/heavy body is like a thinner Guinness. I enjoy drinking it a bit warmer to really get the flavours out of it.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
0,5l bottle. Thick very dark colour with creamy and stiff medium lasting tan head. Aroma: Caramel, milk chocolate, roasted bread with vanilla and cheese notes. Taste: Huge malty start but suddenly an overwhelming bitter taste comes and gets stronger (but stays pleasent) by time in the mouthfeel. Has a light spicey (black pepper, nutmeg) tone too with a creamy texture. The alcohol % is low but this beer has a medium/full body with a gentle and soft carbonation. Long bitter/dry finish in the end. A robust and quite bitter porter. Great one.

Väldigt god porter. Visserligen är det nyligen jag "lärde" mig njuta av porter. :-) Satt fint som avrundning efter att tidigare på kvällen ätit räkor med gumman.

Deep Dark - Looks really good in glass. Inexpressive taste - I expect something more.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma is of dark chocolate and coffee. Taste follows the nose. As I let it sit it lost the coffee smell and taste. This caused the beer to be better if think. Overall a really good porter.

Tap @ Savory Grain. Dark with minimal head. Smells like dark bread and some roastiness. Flavor is dark coffee with a hint of sweetness. Fuller bodied than I expected.
