tap, poured a dark brown color, with a creamy khaki head. The aroma was awesome with some roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Had a great creamy balance on the palate and a perfect finish. This is a great porter.

500ml can into pint glass. Pours ruby red/dark brown with perfect off-white creamy head. Nose of rich dark chocolate and toffee. Full body, smooth texture. Taste is bitter chocolate. Finish is cocoa, more chocolate, fruit cake. Slightly dry and bitter right at the end. I can live without porters but this is superb.

Alkohol schowany

Classic porter! Some smoked malt, overall good body. Well-balanced taste - a lot of years in a row.

UPDATED: SEP 4, 2017 Aroma: 7 Slight/medium aroma of malts, caramel, dark fruit, chocolate and roasted malts. Appearance: 5 Opaque black beer with a slight/medium beige head. Taste/Palate: 8/3 Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, dark fruit and chocolate; ends slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts. Overall: 15 This beer is intense, complex and balanced. This is especially true for its abv. Lovely flavour full of chocolate and roasted malts. Perfect appearance as well, but the aroma could have been stronger and the palate better.

Warka 01.10.2016

BBD: 8/15/17

2015 BJCP Category: 13C English Porter

AROMA: Moderately sweet nose with notes of milk chocolate and caramel. Dark malt, but nothing roasty. Slight butter note. 9/12

APPEARANCE: Dark brown with light brown highlights (25-35 SRM). Clear body. Small white foam which retains and laces pretty well. 3/3

FLAVOR: Plenty of brown/dark malt throughout. Milk chocolate flavor initially, though transitions into a coffee/roasted malt taste on the backend. Bitterness is moderate and offers balance. Slight caramel and nutty tastes on the finish and into the aftertaste. Palette is a bit simple, though age of bottle may be cause for this. 15/20

MOUTHFEEL: Medium-light body and carbonation. Smooth texture; easy to drink. Feels much lighter than 5.4% ABV, and tempting as a session beer. 4/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: Enjoyable and fun to drink. Usually world class when fresh. 8/10

TOTAL SCORE: 39/50
