50 cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Buskerud storsenter. Pours dark brown with a two finger brown head that leaves a good lacing. Aroma of coffee and dark chocolate. Well balanced taste between coffee and chocolate with a good discrete bitterness in the back. A bit on the creamy side but it lacks some depth. Overall a good one.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2018 Pivo u flaši. Komercijala. Jako slab Porter. Aroma još kakva takva ali po okusu slab. Zmajsko je za njega pet klasa iznad!

Experience matters. I like my fine American micro's, but these guys pretty much invented this style of beer, and it shows. My overall rating factors at a 4.2. It would have been higher if it weren't for a very mild aroma, and a very flat appearance. The fragrance is familiar, but it doesn't rock the senses. It' smells like chocolate and something roasted, maybe fried wild rice. The taste is very chocolaty, but not overly sweet. The mouth feel is heavy. When you dip a finger, the surface has a slight resistance. This is not watered down for a low abv beer. Any way it's a good one. Can't wait to try it on tap.

UPDATED: JAN 11, 2018 Bottle. A- Caramel, dark fruits, coffee, chocolate. A- Dark mahogany brown color, dark liquid, off white head. T- Roasty, dry cocoa, malty, char. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- "Best by July 2017". At over 6 months passed the best by day this beer was still rocking. Lots of fruity caramel notes along with a nice balance of cocoa, coffee, and roasted malts. Really tasty.

Mighty nice porter indeed! If this is the true and genuine porter I could say that Porter's tatse is mighty close to the true bockbeer (ayinger comes to mind) from Germany. Although a little bit more smokey and peaty perhaps. But very nice and distinguished bouquet of smell and taste. No punishment to be on this all night long.

UPDATED: DEC 19, 2017 Almost black, dense head. Coffee and some chocolate aroma. Dry, fresh taste with chocolate taste. Goes well with the christmas table.

Bewnhur (17) - SWEDEN - DEC 15, 2017
This porter is pretty much the regular porter. There is coffee and and a taste of malt. Sadly it doesn't tast any different than a houshold porter like Carnigie, i wish there was some deeper flavour to it, like a stronger taste of the malt or the coffe. One among many others sadly.

It is a great beer, with a strong toasted flavor exquisite for the most demanding palate, only those who know can appreciate the aroma and taste of this great beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
