Perfect Englsh pint from a great brewery. Nothing overly exciting but knowing Fullers gets it right, this is a master pint. Huge on the malt and a great copper color.

Nice enough beer. A " Go to beer" when at British pub that doesn’t have craft beers to pick from. I guess very well done for the style, but not as adventurous as some other styles so probably wasn’t going to score as high for me as others. Still nice pint tho!

Cask. Deep amber in colour. Fruity (citrus fruity). Hoppy (floral & earthy hops). Underlying caramel malts. Flavoursome. Nice hop/fruit/malt balance. Sweetish with mildly bitter dry hoppy finish. Very drinkable. (2008)

Unfiltered version @ CBR 2017. Pours cloudy amber with low white head. Aroma of bread, caramel, light citrus. Taste is up front mild bitter with a light sweetness before a lingering bitter finish. Light and smooth body with soft carbonation.

5 litre mini-cask from brewery. Contains yeast. Pours mid-amber with minimal white head. Little on the nose. Taste subdued fruit, some cereal from malt. Mouthfeel: thin. Overall: an average bitter.

Ein Pint Vom Fass im Angry Friar in Gibraltar. Helle klare Bernsteinfarbe. Flacher hellbeiger Schaum. Wenig Aroma. Getreide und Malz. Im Antrunk kann ich etwas Hopfen schmecken. Dann grassig und nach Brot. Am Schluss wirds englisch wässerig. Süffig. Ok.

Pint from [email protected] Pub in straight [email protected] 10 degrees C. Pours amber-Brown with decent off-white head with low retention. Aroma more present than I remember the bottled version, dominated by malt and caramel malt with just a hint of grapefruit. Smooth taste with a good balance of malt, caramel, toffee and hoppy, grapefruit bitterness which comes to the foreground in the long aftertaste which is also slightly dry and herbal. Medium body and hardly any carbonation. Though lower in ABV it seemed tastier and more rounded than the bottled version and is definitely a step up and still a tasty bitter - which actually is a little bitter in the aftertaste!

Cask at The Plough, Byfleet. 10/12/16. A feint malty aroma. Dark Amber, with a frothy white head. Light bitter. Malty. Creamy. Medium bodied. Soft. Had only had bottles of this more recently and this is way better. Also well kept, to be fair to the pub.

Cask. Slightly malted. Amber body thin top. Tastes smooth balanced and instantly forgettable. What was the state of beer like when this was champion beer in 1979?! That said there are many worse beers available
