Cask at The Ship, Meads, Eastbourne. It just fell a bit flat for me this time, a bit soapy. Obviously drinkable and I think if I started with this beer it would be different but distinctly average this time. Unlike the amazing unfiltered version at the pub in Chiswick....

Cask in a pub near Paddington, London (UK). Colour is pale golden, tiny to no head. Aroma and taste is cereal, malt. Low carbonation. A "must try" in London for the history of the brewery, not for the beer itself. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Grain and cereal malts, biscuit and caramel. Slightly hazy, dark gold, small, creamy, off-white head. Light bitter. More grain and cereal malts, light caramel, biscuit, bitterness intensifies, some floral hops, lively carbonation, medium bodied, bitter and dry finish. Too fizzy, prefer the original cask version. Keg at Tap on the Line, Kew.

Nice enough beer. A " Go to beer" when at British pub that doesn’t have craft beers to pick from. I guess very well done for the style, but not as adventurous as some other styles so probably wasn’t going to score as high for me as others. Still nice pint tho!

Cask. Deep amber in colour. Fruity (citrus fruity). Hoppy (floral & earthy hops). Underlying caramel malts. Flavoursome. Nice hop/fruit/malt balance. Sweetish with mildly bitter dry hoppy finish. Very drinkable. (2008)

Unfiltered version @ CBR 2017. Pours cloudy amber with low white head. Aroma of bread, caramel, light citrus. Taste is up front mild bitter with a light sweetness before a lingering bitter finish. Light and smooth body with soft carbonation.

Ein Pint Vom Fass im Angry Friar in Gibraltar. Helle klare Bernsteinfarbe. Flacher hellbeiger Schaum. Wenig Aroma. Getreide und Malz. Im Antrunk kann ich etwas Hopfen schmecken. Dann grassig und nach Brot. Am Schluss wirds englisch wässerig. Süffig. Ok.
