3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours golden with white head. Aroma is some hops, with a sweet malty aroma. Flavor is malt, with grassy hop notes and a slight bitterness.
Probably the first real ale that truly impressed me, and my go-to choice when I’m feeling like a traditional pint of bitter.
London Pride is a gorgeous golden amber in appearance, with a feint off white head. It’s incredibly smooth for a beer of such complex taste; hops mingle wonderfully with a malt backbone, creating an exceptional pint. cobaink2 (693) - seattle, Washington, USA - JUL 11, 2017
On cask from pub in London. From hand pump pours a copper color. Has tastes of cracker malts and hoppy everessence Davros IX (359) - Hertford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 30, 2017
Cask at the Butchers Hook & Cleaver. Very well kept Pride and a reminder of how good it can be. Malt, bitter hops and that nice biscuity flavour that goes with it. When its good, its very good and this was! A good solid English bitter and I really liked it. bytemesis (8423) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JUN 20, 2017
Can pour, clear Amber, small off white head, good lacing. Aroma of biscuit malt, cracker, caramel, faintly nutty. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter. Light body, low carbonation. Quite pleasant and easy to drink. Not quite a hotel golde, but likely my first genuine real ale danielst (405) - AUSTRIA - MAY 2, 2017
Cask at Fuller’s brewery tour. Fresh bready and biscuity malt aroma, with a subtle earthy hoppiness and a nicely bitter finish. Delicious stuff.

Cask at The Ship, Meads, Eastbourne. It just fell a bit flat for me this time, a bit soapy. Obviously drinkable and I think if I started with this beer it would be different but distinctly average this time. Unlike the amazing unfiltered version at the pub in Chiswick.... Cask in a pub near Paddington, London (UK). Colour is pale golden, tiny to no head. Aroma and taste is cereal, malt. Low carbonation. A "must try" in London for the history of the brewery, not for the beer itself.

Nice enough beer. A " Go to beer" when at British pub that doesn’t have craft beers to pick from. I guess very well done for the style, but not as adventurous as some other styles so probably wasn’t going to score as high for me as others. Still nice pint tho!
