Tastes of malt, light toffee, light brown sugar, and slight dried leafs. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Draft at IBG (Lutz, FL). Pours a dark reddish amber color with a foamy off-white head. Caramel and biscuit malt aroma along with noticeable alcohol. The flavor is quite good with roasted caramel malt and raisin. The finish is fairly dry with a decent amount of bitterness. The alcohol is more noticeable on the nose than in the flavor. Tap at copper mine. Amber pour, with little if any aroma. One good thing too say about this beer is its very drinkable but that isnt saying much. Not much to flavor or after taste. Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - JUN 1, 2009
Draft. Pours a dark amber body with an off white head. Bitter earth y tones and soil with a bitter earth character. Some lighter dried fruit character that follows through. Not bad. DougShoemaker (3147) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 19, 2009
Nose has fine malt, caramel, and some red pitfruit. Deep copper, small tan head, plenty of lace, impressive for draught. Taste is a fruity malt, wet hop leaves. Light bodied, really well balanced, alcohol isn’t noticed (6.8?), quite an easy drinking beer given the abv. Terrific! mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 19, 2009
[1998-20090216] Tap. Mild grains aroma, not much there. Clear, amber red body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Toasty malt grains flavour with some bread toast, young hops, lightly burned characteristics and a small kick of alcohol later. Medium body is initially smooth followed by graininess. Quite rough throughout, otherwise fair.

[Tap @ UJ’s Glenside; 6.3%] Poured a clear brown color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of nuts, caramel malts, some vanilla, and toasted dough. Taste of sweeter caramel, brown sugar, nuts, and some cocoa, with a dry finish. Seemed more like a brown ale to me.
