olsvammel (6443) - ÷rebro, SWEDEN - NOV 23, 2009
It poured an amber liquid with a medium sized dirty white foam with some nice craters that left allot of lacing. It had a weak smell of caramell, malt, booze and arrack. Medium smooth mouthfeel with a bit stingy feeling. Medium body and medium bitterness. It didnít have a nice hoppy bitterness, a less enjoyable bitterness with a bite to it. It was also dry and taste of malt and had a buttery taste and feeling. The butter took over more and more as I drank it. Not my choice for this years Christmas celebration.

pivnizub (10253) - Bochum, PorķřŪ, GERMANY - NOV 22, 2009
Bottle: Clear, amber coloured, small stable off-white head; fruity and roast-malty aromas, a tinge of molasses, too in the relatively dry malty and hoppy nose; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; lingering hoppy and sweet-malty finish, including traces of fruit-cake. Good Fullers quality, as usual............

gyllenbock (8171) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 8, 2009
The beer has a nice color, dark red with a pretty white foam. Smells a bit toffee, malt, burnt, margarine and some fruitiness. The flavor contains mainly caramel and hops. Bitterness is quite light. Some burned notes are there too. Nice and clear drinkable beer.

DuffMan (9647) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 25, 2009
Bottle. Dark brown, slightly hazy, medium custard coloured head, scanty lace. Delicious malty aroma, burnt toffee, brown sugar, hints of plummy fruit. Toasty toffee flavours, nicely spicy hinting at fruitcake, medium sweetness that dries out completely in the surprisingly bitter finish. Medium bodied, very tasty.

500mL bottle. Best before 13/Sep/99. I disagree! Aroma is dusty caramel. Lightly sweet flavor, leather and prunes.

strangaj (250) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - AUG 11, 2009
Aroma similar to optimator; heavy fruit flavored maltiness. Taste is a bit smoother with a hopiness that nullifies the fruity malt aroma. Not a drain poor, but nothing to write home about.

Seconds please! This beer is deep and rich with lush figgy and fruitcake aromas. I love this beer. It is a simple assessment, but this beer fit my mood aptly.
