Cask (handpump) @ The Victoria, W2, London. Amber brown color with a fair off-white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, chocolate, coffe, fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Nice balanced winter ale. yespr (48915) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - APR 23, 2008
50 cL bottle. Pours slight cloudy and deep amber with a lacing off-white head. Fruity and malt driven aroma. Flavour is roasted malt with a light acidic touch and a light toffee malt note. Fruity and bitter hoppy flavours following before a more breadish malt flavour re-conquers the palate. Ends medium dry and bitter. Nice and light malt spice English ale. Bottled. Dark copper coloured mediumsized brown thick creamy head. Strong malty nose with hints of caramel and cookies as well as a bit of roast. Strong roasted malt in flavour along with some hops in finish. Caramellish hints also there as well as weak plummyness. Quite pleasant, but the roastflavour is a bit too aggressive. madmitch76 (26413) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 8, 2011

Warning! Early amateur rating! A dark beer but comparatively light in body. Treacle and toffee provide a lip smacking start followed be a dry finish with a slighty bitter hop aftertaste.
Dark reddish brown with medium head. Aroma of malt and caramel. Full bodied with overtones of toffee and maybe some light spice. Pleasant. cgarvieuk (26365) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 11, 2008
