Copper colored - with honey or maple syrup in the smell. Also some metallic and burnt flavors. A Very acidic bitterness in the taste with some candy sugar undertones. Lingering hop taste on the tongue.

Brown/copper. Small head that dissolves quickly. Aroma of nuts, toffee and british hops. Taste is nutty, malty, toffee, caramell, butterscotch and vaguely fruity. Diacetyl is present but not unpleasant. Finish is hoppy bitter. Low carbonation and smooth but kinda oily mouthfeel. Easy drinking. Nothing spectacular but I just like Fuller’s and these types of ales.

From Labirratorium. In Ikea’s pint glass. Reading JHTP11 Ch24. At first seems a bit flat, with just a slight nuttyness, but as warms up becomes more noticeable and better.

0.5l bottle. Crear ruby body with a beige head. Aroma of toast, caramel, a hint of butter, some roasted malts and a generous amount of floral hops. Taste of toast, roasted malts, figs and floral hops. Sweet and malty upfront, but the finish is quite bitter. Decent beer.

Amber brown body and a offwhite rocky head. Aroma of roasted malt, brown sugar, caramel, pine and citrus. The taste is medium sweet and bitter, well balanced. Long light bitter finish, oily sticky texture.

0.5L bottle from a Spar supermarket (winter ale on winter sale ;-). Reddish brown body, beige head, quite persistent. Nice sweet aroma, caramel, some spices. Foam tastes dry and bitter. Beer is on the bitter side with some caramel and nuts. Mild roasted character detectable. Becomes quite rich and complex in the end, actually. Bitter aftertaste, with traces of some Guinness-like sour and roasted character. Palate is nice, silky, creamy mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Typical "semi-brown" British Ale, from the better ones.
