Tap at olutexpo. Fullers imperial stout real ale. Black color, some brown bubbles. Aroma is balanced, sweet, roasty, coffee. Taste is low carb, roasty, coffee, licorice, chocolate. eduardovl (1474) - SWITZERLAND - OCT 14, 2014
UPDATED: DEC 2, 2014 500ml bottle served in a chalice (sorry about that :))
A: Pours a magnificent dark brown to black color forming a big beige mocca bubbled aired head. Medium retention. Head never disappears completely, leaving only few lacings around
S: Roasted malts, dark chocolate and coffee. Bit fruit and alcoholic too
T: Follows the nose. Strong notes of dark chocolate, roasted malts and coffee. Delicious roasted bitterness, oh boy!
M: Medium creamy body. Good carbonation. Intense roasted bitter aftertaste
O: Very drinkable. Kind of excellent beer to stout lovers like me...

Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, brown sugar and caramel. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long chocolate, caramel, licorice and coffee finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.
Like being kicked in the face by a horse with chocolate hooves. Tastes gorgeous. Smells gorgeous. Hangover in a glass

Bottle at home. Even though I’ve enjoyed a few Fullers beers in the past this caught me by surprise. Really enjoyed it. Poured pretty much black, thin tan head. Aroma, smoke, roasted malts, licorice. Flavour has soy sauce, coffee, chocolate. Some sweetness, bit of dryness, bitterness, lochness. Quite light mouthfeel. Tasty stuff and no mistake.

Really dark, medium dark head. The aroma is a bit weak compared to other is’s. The taste is great though, a bit spikey and not too sweet, but with a really long finish. Darn_it (18) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 11, 2014
When I tried this beer I fell in love. But that was a long long time ago. I raved about the hop quality that made this brew unique. Looking at it now it probably needed to be aged. English hop character in a stout is very nice though and if I can ever get my hands on an english hopped black ipa this beer will at least give me hope for it working out.
I am going to rate this from memory as it is no longer available and for what I would give it now instead of the 10/10 i would have given it before trying some of the worlds best beers. theSlipperyPen (286) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 24, 2014
Black as pitch with a short espresso-like head. Nose is of molasses and soy sauce and a gentle whack of chocolate, coffee and ash. Lovely creamy mouthfeel with upfront soft liquorice and dried figs. The malts are definitely chocolate heavy and combine with the bitterness into a vinous style quite like port. At the end it resolves into leather and a hint of tobacco. A fine beer and a delight to drink. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - MAR 2, 2014
Bottled 22/02/14. A black beer with barely any head. A slick salty strong stout. Oily notes. Bags of coffee and chocolate flavours. Very nice to drink. A really lovely flavour profile. Good stuff. kryon (3845) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - FEB 22, 2014
