A room temperature bottle sold to me by a nice man in the Fullers pub! Opaque black brown beer. Good bubbly pale tan head. A light semi dry palate. The dark malt is quite mild with a trace of licorice. A little tang, whisper of milky coffee. Semi dry finish with the dark malt tang lingering in the aftertaste. Light for it’s abv.
Cask. Pours a very dark brown with an orange hue and a small off-white head. Solid roasted aroma with some dark dried fruit. Solid body, low carbonation, dark roast, brandy barrel woodiness with some immense alcohol in the finish. Delicious. 270511
