COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First seen as a one-off cask release at Ealing beer festival in July 2012. Released in bottles in August 2012.
The third beer in the Past Masters series was first brewed on Thursday, September 10th 1931. The origins of the Old Burton style have changed over the course of the 20th Century, but this version is brewed to the authentic recipe - a true recreation of a wonderful long-lost beer. A rich, golden ale with a big malt character and an incredible balance of sweetness and warmth on the palate.

Bottle. Copper color, off-white head. Slightly oaky aroma. Smooth, full flavor with juicy malts and pretty good balance for the ABV. Full body, medium carbonation. This is reminiscent of Fullerís Vintage Ales. Nice!

clear chestnut color, off whit half finger of head. Good strips of lacing. nose is caramel, nuts, and malt. very rich nose. taste is pretty much in line with the nose. exception being some good balance with citrus from the hops. Adds a bit of a wooded character to the beer. Nice. Medium feel and carbonation. Just a slight bit heavy. Nice beer though

Erasmus_ro (2905) - Alabama, USA - JUL 20, 2013
Bottle. Pours a dark coppery brown with a decent, yellowish-brown head. Aroma is quite a bit of caramel, some house flavor of orange marmalade/pen sharpener shavings. Taste is quite dry with a lot of caramel, light house flavor, stiffly flowery, even a bit lemony bitterness. Fairly full, well carbonated.
