[550ml bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk] Hazy red pour with a fluffy white head. Fruity nose, very mellow. Sweet fruit cake and marzipan, although there’s an undercurrent of harshness throughout. I’d heard amazing things about this – indeed I’ve written amazing things about the 1999 vintage. This one was nice, but a tad muted. Maybe it just hasn’t aged well – could be one of those things dantheman278 (1361) - SCOTLAND - OCT 15, 2011
Bottle 39323 courtesy of cgarvieuk. Dark reddish copper, bubbly off-white head that fades. Nose is barleywine-esque - figs, some spice and some raisin. Slightly sweet, lots of ovaltine malts, hint of blackcurrant perhaps. Lots of biscuit malts. Finish is slightly sticky, slightly cloying. Not as good as I had hoped. cgarvieuk (25395) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 15, 2011

Bottle from my ever expanding collection of Fullers vintages. An amber coloured pour with a small off white head on top. Aroma of dark fruit, sherry and malt. Tastes of caramel, spice, sweet, port like, slightly hoppy. Nice complexity. Jolly good stuff. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 25, 2011
Bottle at Ungstrup’s - thanks. Clear brown - offwhite head. Nice malty. Nutty. Light spicy. Light dusty. Light oxidation notes. Wooden notes. Dried fruits. Dryness. Nice.

Bottle that Peter Fowler, Shoulder of Mutton kindly shared at tasting at his pub 28.04.11 Pours reddy amber, looks good. Touch of tobacco on nose along with some dried citrus and a dab of spice. Tasty beer really full bodied, however possibbly a bit too much toffee for me, though there is some vanilla and a little nuttiness in there. Extremely likeable but not a patch on the 1999 that we also tried. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8 TheJestersBeer (2430) - SWEDEN - MAR 31, 2011
Bottle. Pours a clear, deep amber, with a thin head. Big, fruity nose, developed but still lots of primary aromas, malt, hops, marzipan, chocolate, tobacco, nuts, leather. Full bodied, dry. Complex, mature, very well balanced taste. Malt, chocolate, nuts, madeira wine, hops, marzipan, and warming alcohol. At this stage, excellent balance between young malt/fruit, and maturation. Bottle at Ölrepubliken in Göteborg. Pours a hazy amber colored beer with almost no head. Intensive aroma of cognac, tobacco, sultana, honey and eucalyptus. The palate is silke smooth with a taste of honey, eucalyptus, marzipan, malt, nougat, dried apricots and vanilla. Fullers vintage is a complex and beautiful beer that shows a really interesting development.
