ravidesai (979) - Bombay, INDIA - JUL 11, 2003
aged for a year glowing copper amber. almost no head. sweet malty caramel aroma. nice spiced sweet taste with a licorice and fruit charactyer. rather strong hops to counterbalance the sugars. complex dry finish alcohol in the aftertaste. a good warming sipping beer.

Bottle @ Akkurat, Stockholm. Vertical tasting -97, -00, 02 and -03 with official representatives from the brewery. 3rd one ever held by Fuller’s
In addition to the commersial description First Gold hops were also used, as per Fuller’s head brewer. This is definately more developed than -03. Still, though, has potential for more. Bread, toffee. Soft (don’t want to use the sm**th-word). Quite malty for a vintage beer.

Copper, hazy, thin head. Aroma o toffee, a little leather in this 11 year old bottle, raisins, a very light cedar-like note. Flavor of toffee, an earthy leathery note, nutty notes, some tobacco, raisins. This 2002 vintage is drinking very well in 2013. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

pubbe (493) - Højbjerg, DENMARK - JAN 2, 2007
Bottle. Reddish brown with mostly diminishing light brown head. Dried fruits and some bitter chocolate in the aroma. Slightly sweet malt and more chocolate in the flavor. Rather oily on the palate. Beautifull strong ale.

Egon (478) - Gothenburg, SWEDEN - OCT 9, 2006
Bottle. Slightly outdated since it should be consumed before end of 2005. A cloudy beer with a white foam. Tastes of caramel and nuts. Not much hops and no alcohol taste either, especially considering its ABV.

Sampled in 2006. AMber in color. Caramel and honey. A little sweet and fairly viscous.

veronika (410) - SWEDEN - AUG 2, 2005
Amber/orange, offwhite head. Aroma from sweet fruit, vanilla and strawberries, almond, nuts and red wine. Flaovr brings alcohol and almond, somewhat fruity. Aroma is much better than the flavor

dunkpigen (379) - Kolding, DENMARK - JUL 13, 2008
Bottle at Århus Ølfestival 2008. Pours amber with a nice thin white head. Aroma of plum, malt, toffee and viniousity. Flavour of plum, vinousity, malt , toffee and chocolate.

4.1
Ofortuna (322) - Grafton, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 8, 2008
From my backlog. Thanks to Jason for this. Tasted side-by-side with a 2004 vintage. Wonderfully complex with its golden promise base malt and delicate caramelization. Perfectly aged and very nuanced with a slight oxidative property to it, but that wasn’t overpowering at this point. Bits of some plums, mild herbal character all swimming beneath the upfront caramel flavour added to its complexity. Aged better than the 2004.
