Crosling (1864) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - OCT 3, 2004
Sampled at the White Horse in London, England. Glowing Orange. Enticing aroma. Notes of grapefruit, lemon, apricot, vanilla and caramel. Full-bodied and flavorful but hot down the throat and the cloying syrupy sweetness was just too much. Notes of apricot, tea, tangerine, wood and orange. The hops were nice and sought to balance but failed.

ekstedt (7005) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 20, 2007
Somehow dissapointing after having tried vintages 1999 & 2004 & 2005. A little disturbing burnt taste. Yeast particles which I haven’t seen before. Still quite good.

This seems to be aging quite well.. . loads of toffee and caramel, with a big oily biscuit aftertaste . .. do you wanna eat my fat? i think you know the answer to that .. . The theonly nagative is the mouth is going a bit, thinning out if you will .. It is what it is, ..folks!

johndoughty (5600) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - NOV 11, 2012
Bottle.Muddy brown appearance and left some sediment.Medium body with a lot of sweetness that lingered for a long while. Tried nine years after it was released and it hasn’t aged well. Not one of their good years.
