Bottle thanks to Marsiblursi!! This beer was just exceptional! Poured a clear, deeper coppery-orange with a short cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up deep, toasted caramel, bready notes, toffee, and drier floral hoppage.. bit of an uptake on the back with more lovely dried floral notes.. soft, inviting, and well-aged. The flavor had slight sour oxidation notes and dark fruits upfront with mild floral and citrusy bitterness.. sweet candied caramel with more fruit across the middle and back-end, accented by light, but complimentary bitterness.. sweet and tasty! Sweet, medium-bodied, and well-balanced on the palate.. wish I had another!

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2013 Bottle at Caspar’s Running Toilet Tasting. Pours rich, amber-red with a small, white head. Dark fruits, caramel and mild oxidation in the aroma. Great flavor, fairly mellow but with some kick at the edges. Notes of cake, rich caramel, toasty sugar, leather, and fig. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, dark sugars, caramel, leather, dark fruits. Lovely beer. The age has done it well. (4.3)

Had another bottle that was shared at CBC Clerkenwell - London. The beer is still damn good. Solid. (4.2)

Bottle. [thank you, Ungstrup]
[at Yesprs tuesday tasting]
Pours lightly red-orange with a fine, creamy, yellowish head. Fine lacing. Aroma is light hoppy, some chocolate, good fat toffee. Super creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has soft port, vinious, light chocolate and a pleasant dose of hops. Super balance, and that chocolate note is truly wonderful.

(bottle, 55cl) Hazy, chestnut-brown coloured hue with lots of floaties and a short diminishing beige foamy head. Sweet toast-malty, slightly vinous fruity aroma with notes of caramel, liquorce, tobacco, sweat and a bit brandy-like alcohol. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a very soft carbonation and a slightly viscid mouthfeel. Creamy toasty malty, date- and fig-fruity taste with caramel, liquorice, resin and a tinge of marzipan; almost endlessly lasting, slightly vinous, subtle fruity and toasty finish. Highly elaborated stuff. 24.III.10

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours orange brown with a modest beige head and a ffuity aroma. There is a hearty delicious malty flavor that keeps its age nicely. A smootly bitter toasty finish sticks to the palate.

Bottle from the Parcel Yard at Kings Cross. Very hazy dark orange Amber. Aroma of smooth darker fruits and a slight touch of oxidation. Full bodied. Flavor is very slightly oxidized malt, nice med dark fruit, and the hops have hung in to impart a floral bitter. It has aged very well.
