Bottle from the Parcel Yard at Kings Cross. Very hazy dark orange Amber. Aroma of smooth darker fruits and a slight touch of oxidation. Full bodied. Flavor is very slightly oxidized malt, nice med dark fruit, and the hops have hung in to impart a floral bitter. It has aged very well. john44 (3071) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 4, 2017

Clear amber in colour with an orange tint & thin off-white head. Aroma of pit fruits, raisins, alcohol, malt and toffee. Full-bodied; Strong sweetness but very mellow-vanilla and oakness are very noticeable. Overall, great to try at this age-itís almost flawless. I sampled this beer from a 50 cL bottle after the RB party at Founderís in Alexandria, Virginia at Mikeís (the_beer_god) hotel room on 20-November-2004.

Beautiful amber color, strangely hazy; the head is quite thin, but creamy and persistent. The aroma is malty but also alcoholic, nutty, with light bitter almonds. Good body strength, the mouthfeel starts getting a bit oily; the malt flavor turned into cookie dough and marzipan; still strong bitterness, but also the alcohol can be clearly perceived. Tired beer, not worth ageing more.

Beautiful copper color, reducing head. Very malty aroma, very light Bourbon vanilla. Good body structure, a bit oily, quite thick; really malty; nuts (wallnuts), a lot of caramel. Incredibly harmonious. Very long final, malty and honeyish; knocks you out!
The carbonation and the young age makes of it, still, a partially aggressive brew (but excellent).
Dutch Ratebeer Gathering. Sampled in 2007 (5 years old). Orange coloured, off-white head, chunks of yeast. Aged aroma, yeast, liquor, pretty strong. Vanilla notes with toffee and caramel, very nice malty flavour. Once and awhile some lactic notes shine through. Towards the end some sticky sweetness, liquorice and hops. Oily texture. Good, although i expected the age to shine through a bit more than it actually did. Thanks jbrus for sharing. Ofortuna (322) - Grafton, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 8, 2008
From my backlog. Thanks to Jason for this. Tasted side-by-side with a 2004 vintage. Wonderfully complex with its golden promise base malt and delicate caramelization. Perfectly aged and very nuanced with a slight oxidative property to it, but that wasnít overpowering at this point. Bits of some plums, mild herbal character all swimming beneath the upfront caramel flavour added to its complexity. Aged better than the 2004. MiP (15650) - SÝnderborg, DENMARK - JUN 26, 2008
Bottle at ŇBF08. 6 years old. Sherry aroma. A bit spicy. Clear dark copper colour. No head. Sweet and spicy flavour. Slightly moldy, but with vanilla and good spice. Quite good. skortila (5801) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - OCT 28, 2007
Bottle @ jbrusí. Aroma is old dusty with tea, apricots, sugar and toffee malts. Hazy, orange coloured with an off-white head. Taste is sweet with some lingering smooth hopbitterness in the finish. It has a bit sticky sweetness and milky chocolate. Quite a nice Vintage ale. KimJohansen (10492) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - MAY 4, 2008
UPDATED: MAY 10, 2008 [Thanks a million Ungstrup!] Hazy deep amber with medium off white head. Sweet and vinious aroma with overripe fruits, caramel and hoppy notes. Sweet and rather complex flavor with notes hops, overripe fruits, caramel, chocolate and madeira. Great complexity and full bodied. Nice!
