COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our 12th Vintage features two of our favourite English hop varieties, Northdown and Challenger. These, combined with floor malted Maris Otter malt, produce a rich fruit aroma laced with dark orange hop notes. A full luxurious mouthfeel is finished off with a satisfying alcohol warmth.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2015 500ml bottle (Alko Arkadia, Helsinki)
A: 7 pleasant fruity cakey aroma
L: 4 Rich red, hint of haze, tight orangy-beige head.
T: 7 Some toffee and cakeiness, but I also get slightly floury aspects that I’m less keen on. Balance between the sweet cakey malts and the zesty hops is very nice. Flour subsides later, but is replaced by a bit of dustiness instead.
P: 4+ Full smooth palate, gentle carbonation. Cakey finish, some cut mixed peel with an almost orangy zesty tingle. Perfect for sipping after a meal. Hops do seem to build up sip after sip.
O: 16- Maybe it’s becuase I like the bitter hops, but for me it improves sip after sip, the cakeiness never fades, but it becomes mellower and more succulent, and the hop bite never stops building up - lovely. Look forward to tasting this again in a year or two - it has enough sweetness and strength that it should age very well. (Yes, I know, it has had 4 years already.)

Aroma really showing the ageing, super sweet fruity body. Taste super mellow and sweet, love the fruity aspects. Pleasant bitterness in the finish. Not shining, but still very delicious.

Aroma has plums, raisins, apricot and a boozy feeling. Also some malty caramel and toffee. Flavour has ripe fruits, raisins and plums. Apricot and a non‐disturbing feeling of alcohol in the finish. This even has some similarities with American strong ales. No signs of off‐flavours whatsoever. Rich and nice!

50 cl bottle @ home
Not that good anymore, cardboard in the flavour.

No. 42712 Unclear brown orange, small tan head fades. Sweet dark malt aroma. Sweet robust and rich, aged and layered flavors of caramel malts, toffee, dark fruits, some spice and mild floral hop bitterness. Soft carbonation, medium bodied, moderately hopped. Finishes dry, sweet and lightly bitter. Very nice. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

Good example for the style. This had some age on it that probably caused the flavors to blend. Sweet malty aroma. Caramel brown color with little sustainable head. Flavor profile was of a standard English ale, just amped up a bit. I had this a year ago and it had more character. Malts are heavy followed by a candy-like mild sweetness. Also kind of bready. Alcohol was also very present in the finish. A year ago this was probably one of the best Fuller’s I’d tasted.

Bottle @ Frank’s (Ramnuts) tasting - 06/11/12 #11879. Pours a hazed light amber with a thin off white head. Nose is toffee fudge, dates, prunes, dark fruits, sugars, little pinch of wood. Taste very similar to nose, slightly tarte in the execution. Medium bodied with soft carbonation leading to a bitter finish. Decent enough - but not a patch on some of the ’good’ exampls of the older vintages I’ve tried.

Bottle #127256 - good size foamy head, dark orange color, sweet malt & fruit aroma and flavor, fair alcohol taste also, overall very balnced and very good beer

Bottle, 50cl. An unclear, golden-orange beer topped by a finger-thick off-white head. Sugary sweetness, alcohol, some hints of mint and a good dash of fruityness on the nose. Sugary sweet, lightly alcoholic flavor with a decent bitterness. Warming, full-bodied and with a pleasant level of carbonation. Warming, sweet and decently bitter finish. A bit on the sweet side this one, even for my sweet tooth. 120106

500ml bottle. Quite hazy vibrant copper amber with a thin tan head. A sweet, bready, malty and light wood initial aroma with lots of great dried fruit, some light toffee, biscuit. Mild carbonation, moderate to full body, bit of alcohol, ripe fruit, lots of flavour, huge depth, probably one of my favourites so far.
