COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our 12th Vintage features two of our favourite English hop varieties, Northdown and Challenger. These, combined with floor malted Maris Otter malt, produce a rich fruit aroma laced with dark orange hop notes. A full luxurious mouthfeel is finished off with a satisfying alcohol warmth.

Scopey (14012) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 14, 2012
Bottle at Chrisoís Fullers-Gales Tasting (thanks to Chris). It pours clear amber, with a thin off-white head. The nose is wood, tinned fruit (pear, melon, nectarine), brown sugar and spice. The taste is spice, fruit cake, alcohol warmth, leather, residual sweetness of tinned fruit, with a dry finish. Much dryer in the mouth and spicier than previous vintages tasted. Full body, moderate carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. Good.

Bov (12556) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - MAY 16, 2009
from crackedkettle.com - hazy amber-bronze colour with a poor and chaotic foam; robustly malty aroma with notes of almonds and apples; full-bodied and quite sticky; the palate is quite mellow with a solid sweetness; fair bitterness, long malty aftertaste with notes of apples and caramel - good but needs some aging

Bottle, thanks SÝren.
Had this after 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
Pours nice, hazy amber with a small, creamy, staying, off-white film head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, light flowery. Lively and kinda spritzy mouthfeel with a fine dryness. Flavour is dry, lots of caramel, light herbal and earthy, flowery and dry hoppiness. Light yeasty and a soft toffee finish with good dryness. Good!
