Vintage Ale is a truly distinguished bottle conditioned beer. Each vintage is a blend of that yearís finest malt and hops, creating a unique limited edition brew. Being bottle conditioned, it is after bottling that the flavours truly begin to develop, and continue to do so well beyond the best before date that we are obliged to state.

The 2009 Vintage features Kent grown Golding Hops and East Anglian Tipple malted barly. It has an intial aroma of rich Muscavado sugar followed by a brandied caramelised

Copper-brown pour. Thin off white head. Aroma is sweet with some malty fruit. Flavor is really nice and the mouth feel is perfect. An overall sweet beer with caramel, alcohol, and spice. Itís hard for me to describe. Really nice all around.

Reife rote Kirschen, Pflaumen, Dazu herb-trocken! Der Nachgeschmack ist lang anhaltend, intensiv, vollmundig. Den Alkoholgeschmack ist nicht zu merken! --> Sehr leckeres Ale!! Toll, aromenreich, schwer! --> 13/12/13/13

50 cl bottle @ home. Bottle #020914, BBE 12/2012
Aroma is slightly sweet with strong grainy notes, toffee and some moldy notes. Flavour has toffee, woody notes and English hops. Finishes with unpleasant alcohol tones. Definitely a disappointment, 2008 was a lot better at this age.

Bottle #122698. Pours a red/amber with a small white head. Aromas of caramel, toffee, and dark fruit. Flavor has lots of dried fruit character with nice malty goodness coming through. Slightly warming finish, this has really developed nicely over time. Perfectly balanced. Great beer.

2009 Vintage ~ No 147097/160000

12/01/2010: Fullerís Vintage Ale 2009... Aroma: Vanilla and toffee; plenty of caramelized malts and sugars. Appearance: Hacy golden-amber color; head is thin and off-white to beige in color. Flavor: WOW! Big, strong, a bit toward the sweet side - dates, golden raisin, Hawaiian bread - toffee and caramelized caramalts. Palate: Medium to medium-full body; nice mouthfeel. Overall: Quite good, but will probably improve even more with 1-2 more years of age...

1 pint 0.9 fl. oz. bottle (Alc 8.5% Vol; Best Before End 2012) shared by Tmoney99. Thanks Tom! Rating #239 for this beer.

When drinking this I had to remind myself what it was and rate it also on sticking with the style. Given the age this had on it as the flavors had blended well but it was a little boozy. It had a sweet malty aroma with alcohol. It had a whiskey color with little head. Carbonation was mild. The palate was smooth and oily. The flavors were of caramelized malts with very little hops appearing. It had a sharp finish of burnt sugar or raisin with more alcohol. I think I remember liking the 2008 Vintage better.

Bottle from the legendary Kris Wines. The pourís deep reddish amber with a tiny off-white head. The aromaís rich toffee, glazed donut, burnt brown sugar, peppery hop. Nice dark fruit accents. Some sweet pie filling. The taste is rich brown sugar coated cherries. Chewy sweet toffee. Slightly hot wood accents. Warm boozy richness. Full palate, soft carbonation. Overall, nice stuff, an excellent fireside beer.
