COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Vintage Ale is a truly distinguished bottle conditioned beer. Each vintage is a blend of that year’s finest malt and hops, creating a unique limited edition brew. Being bottle conditioned, it is after bottling that the flavours truly begin to develop, and continue to do so well beyond the best before date that we are obliged to state.

The 2009 Vintage features Kent grown Golding Hops and East Anglian Tipple malted barly. It has an intial aroma of rich Muscavado sugar followed by a brandied caramelised

Bottle at Caspar’s Running Toilet Tasting. Pours red-gold with a wild, white film. Leafy, herbal and lightly piney hops in the aroma, along with subtle caramel, toast and crackers. Very sweet flavor, lovely jam notes, some booze, ripe fruits. Full bodied with average but mouth-filling carbonation. Warm finish, notes of cake, toast, jammy fruits, faint leafy bitters, toasty sugars. Very nice.

Wonderful look, amber color with a thick creamy head. As I’ve been used to in these recent years, the aroma is mostly disappointing: vegetables, cabbage, dust, alcohol and just light caramel. Strong body, with oily mouthfeel; average caramel flavor; the final is oily and nutty. Correct bitterness. This beer ain’t get any better in a few years.

Bottle share at Ma Che, Roma, 09/02/13. #57504 from Fullers store.
Hazed mid amber with a thin off white head which clears to the edge.
Nose carries dates, almonds, dark fruits, malts, brown sugars.
Taste comprises dark malts, dates, prunes, sugars, toffee.
Full end of medium bodied with moderate carbonation leading to a sweetish finish.
Decent.

Bottle 63349 from The Bottle Shop. I like this beer. I like this beer with a couple of years on it. Hazy deep orange amber with thick lasting beige head. Syrupy malty spicy aroma. Candied fruits fruit peel. Black pepper hop aroma. Mmmmm warm juicy lovely malts with lots of lemon and orange peel. Smooth carbonation. Good pepper hop. Good spicyness. I do like this beer. Just a touch of mustiness on aroma. But I love the fruit in the mouth. Smmoth caramel in mouth along with the fruit. Tasty as hell.
