Aroma is a rich malt, some pitfruit and caramel notes, orange, with a reddish hue, pours a tiny toffee head, some lace. Flavour is a fine malt, with fruit, alcohol is noted. Full bodied, rich texture, bitter, but at this point a bit boozy. Certainly a well made offering, which time should round off the edges. thewolf (12630) - Kolding, DENMARK - FEB 14, 2010

Finished off with this after 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.
Pours completely clear amber with a nice, small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, malts, light biscuity and with some herbal, spicy hops. Highish carbonation, fine dry mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, malty, light citric and vinious. Quite delicious but still rather young.
Bottle [500ml]. No. 036320. Pours a clear amber, quite bubbly, with an average size long-lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, fruit, grain, yeast, light hops and some light sugary sweetness. Flavour of sweet malt, light hops, alcohol, a bit of graininess and perhaps some spices as well. Lightly bitter, slightly alcoholic finish. I’d like it a bit more flavourful. Medium bodied. Pretty good, though not one of their best vintages it’s still a solid beer. anders37 (26678) - Malmö, SWEDEN - FEB 23, 2010
Cask @ GBBF 2009. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with hints of dark fruit. Sweetish malty warming caramel and dark fruit flavor. Has a sweetish warming dark fruit finish with hints of carame land alcohol in the aftertaste. LordCorkscrew (1774) - Ronco Scrivia (GE), ITALY - AUG 5, 2010

(500ml bottle #3174 thanks to blutt59) clear rich orange pour with few white bubbles. Nose of candied orange, syrup, golden raisins and funky. Taste of toasty grain, sweet orange, golden raisins, alcohol, biscuit with a creamy well carbonated body and a spicy kick at the end. Tmoney99 (14604) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 5, 2010
Bottle. Poured copper color with medium white frothy head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Medium toasted malt and dough aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate to moderate duration. Good interesting brew.

Clear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fresh berry, prune. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Way to young have to more mature, before drinking. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
An amber colored beer with a small off-white head that settles fast and leaves basically no lacings.
There’s quite a lot of fruit aromas in the nose, sweetish and almost reminiscent of sweet fruit marmalade. Notes of leafy hops, wood and alcohol in the smell as well.
The taste is very sweet with notes of sweet vinous fruits, dark bread and leafy and peppery hops. Here’s something that reminds me of maple syrup or resin or something. It’s very malty with decent supplementing hop notes, but the malts lack complexity and depths. The finish as some alcohol to in and is quite bitter with notes of spices and leafy hops.
It has a medium body and quite a smooth texture, but the carbonation is a little bit too lively for it to come out as anything even reminiscent of a sipper.
All in all, I felt this one was a bit unbalanced at the moment, kind of harsh out of tune. But with some age on it, it might very well turn to the better.
