Bottle, 3 years old, courtesy of paulhegedus - thanks a lot! Pours gorgeous clear dark amber, with tan lacing. Aroma of sweet grapes (think Welch’s), and slight butterscotch. Super smooth taste with fruit (raisins, grapes being strongest), butterscotch, and some very slight roasty notes. Slight alcoholic finish. Great stuff! joeyplush (648) - Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 29, 2013
My friends and I always save these beers for special occasions. This one was enjoyed at a recent dinner club gathering that we do several times per year. This is always a complex, sophisticated ale that is best enjoyed with good friends who truly appreciate good beer. Pours a beautiful amber color with a modest off white head. Aroma is of sweet malt and brown sugar, and dark fruits. Flavor has sweet malts, dark fruit, molasses, and a warming lingering finish that is reminscent of a good brandy. otakuden (1783) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - FEB 4, 2011
Appearance: melted hues of peaches, apricots, and ginger. Coppery pithy head fades to a blotchy broken blanket with a bubbly collar. Swirls thicker along the edges.

Nose: sweet orangey marmalade dough with mangos and kumquats. Apple pulp, slightly musty. Nutty home baked bread in the background. Fruitcake with candied fruits and sugars; maraschino and pineapple. Caramelized pecans. Essence of fall spices along with the essence of Autumn – fallen leaves on an earthen floor damp with dew. Underlying musk and must, leather. Mulled cider.
Palate: chewy and musty – doughy, spiced, meaty, and yeasty. Apple orchards replete with leaves, mulch, earth, undergrowth, and dew drops. Candied fruitcake, homemade and soft – mango, papaya, peaches. Tang of toffee sweetness underneath. Cinnamon apple pie and honeycomb. Sticky lips. Complex and full of Autumnal flavors. Chestnuts and treacle with a slowly growing tickle of warmth and spice in the throat and chest.
Final Thoughts: overall another lovely addition to the Vintage Ale series from Fullers. All releases are limited, numbered, and cellarable so I look forward to seeing how she ages with time.
@CBF. Pours clear deep amber with a small off white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, port, fidges, raisins and vinous. Flavor is much like the aroma, very nice. Finishes balanced fruity bitter. DutchDrebus (6036) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - OCT 23, 2011

Aroma of apple juice, grape, cedar and cherries. Pours hazy brown with a blonde head. Tastes wet and juicy. Apples, cherries, ginger snaps, and concord grapes. Delicious and favorable. Love it. ReV2 (178) - Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - JAN 22, 2012
UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Bottle no. 009891, on lifting the cap the aroma hit at arms length and I don’t have a great sense of smell! Sweet, very sweet and not as malty as some of the vintages, more like Golden Pride. Intense alcohol with citrus fruits, golden syrup, pear drops, hops disguised by the sweetness. I can imagine 18th century inn keepers serving up ales similar to this. Delicious but not one of my favourite vintages, the 2005 is my best so far. harrisoni (18823) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JAN 30, 2012
Bottle 63349 from The Bottle Shop. I like this beer. I like this beer with a couple of years on it. Hazy deep orange amber with thick lasting beige head. Syrupy malty spicy aroma. Candied fruits fruit peel. Black pepper hop aroma. Mmmmm warm juicy lovely malts with lots of lemon and orange peel. Smooth carbonation. Good pepper hop. Good spicyness. I do like this beer. Just a touch of mustiness on aroma. But I love the fruit in the mouth. Smmoth caramel in mouth along with the fruit. Tasty as hell. jerohen (2310) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - NOV 3, 2012
Bottled (number 017168) from biernavigatie.nl. Dark brown colored, off-white head. Caramel malty nose, raisins, Christmas pudding, British hops. Balanced sweet and somewhat bitter flavor, lots of caramel, malty. Lasting finish. Very much a winter beer. Sampled at 3 years old, but most likely could use some additional aging. You can’t go wrong with a Fullers Vintage Ale, and although this is not my favorite one of the series, it’s still absolutely high quality stuff. berlinoise2go (689) - NORWAY - APR 20, 2013
Bottle (50cl). No. 051014. Lovely, deep amber colour, slightly hazy. Half-inch, semi-sticky head, booze-like swirl, leaves some lacing. Sweet malty aroma with toffee, cookies, caramel, dried figs, hint of resin, menthol and sherry vinegar. Medium/full body, soft carbonation. Sweet taste, yet superbly balanced by a mild bitterness, some acidity and hint of salt. Long bittersweet aftertaste.
