COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
I have crafted the 2010 Vintage with the highest quality Tipple malted barley for the second year running. This ale’s main hop character is derived from traditional Golding and Fuggles hops and further enhanced with Dry Hopping, using a blend of the choicest Golding and Target hops. Coupled with the unique Fuller’s yeast strain we expect this beer to mature into another ’Classic’ Vintage! 125,000 bottles produced

Bottled. An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, caramel, and all spice. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, yeast, fruits, and pepper, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Bottle #058905 (from Alko, Vaasa). Rubyish amber colour, mediumsized beige head that leaves some lace. Aroma is fruity and floral hops with some mild malts and mild toffeeish notes. Flavour is fruity hops, some sweet malts, mild liquorice and some mild herbal notes. And quite thin as well. I’ve had FVA fresh yearly since 2005, and this is the most dissappointing FVA since. Hope it will develop a bit with aging.

omhper (25256) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - DEC 20, 2010
Bottled. Clear brownish amber, small head. Dusty resinyhops dominate the nose. Thick and caramelly with full body. Rich and mildly warming, resiny hoppy bitterness.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Bottle # 038142. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head. Sweet fruity nose with a little caramel. Medium body, roast and dark fruits, some phenols and yeast with a heavily alcoholic finish that also has a decent hoppiness. I actually think some age could soften the edges of this. 050111

Clear amber beer, decent pale cream coloured head. Softish palate, smooth and a little dry. Mild carbonation. Creamy malt with unsweet toffee. Trace of marmite. Little dried fruits. Finishes creamy and dry. Not bad but hardly one of their best.

Leighton (21495) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 2, 2011
Bottle at Caspar’s Running Toilet Tasting. Pours clear, bright red-gold with a big, off-white head. Light herbal hops in the nose, some sugar, ripe fruits. So so flavor, some booze, ripe fruits, sugary malts. Full bodied with average to lively carbonation. Warm finish, jammy fruits, alcohol, tangy fruits, light leafy bitterness. Alight. As with some of the younger vintages, this one could certainly improve with a few more years.
