COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The 2011 Vintage Ale, our 15th, is brewed with some of the finest of this yearís malt and hops. The malt grist includes a portion produced by Warminster maltings, from organic barley grown by Sir James Fuller on the Nestone Park Estate. This will be married with the choicest Goldings, Organic First Gold and award winning Sovereign hops, to produce a beer with a firm malt base, marmalade notes and a satisfying bitter finish. Individually packaged and numbered, this bottle is one of only one hundred and fifty thousand produced.

Complex and rich aroma: fruits, herbal/floral, hops, biscuits, wood and rust, malt, caramel. Quite strong alcohol feel. Bitter aftertaste with alcohol warmth. Amber colour. Small head. Very fine beer.

Bottle from Ben. Unrefined alcohol and shady hops. Pretty poor especially compared to the 2000 vintage.

Number 500...Smells like floral hops. Taste is very oaky, astringent. Smell promises a hell of a lot better than the taste. Thereís also some light fruitiness, coriander, citrus peel. Was expecting a little more, too bad this had to be my 500. I usually like bitter finishes but this one doesnít do much for me.

Bottle at RK2. Unkempt alcohol marauding all over the shop. Pretty poor. Just had the 2000 vintage and it was barry. By compaison, this was basically shocking.

From bottle. Fish fingers after lobster here. Aroma has caramel, alcohol and flowery skunky hops. Taste has caramel, skunky hops and lots of alcohol. Sticky and sickly. Not great.

The aroma for this beer is amazing. I fell in love with it as soon as I poured it up. However the taste did let me down a little there was a strong alcohol taste and over powered tastes in there. Still a very good beer and I will be having more.

Slightly opaque reddish brown. Caramel and earthy aromatics- good tension there. Full bodied with a great counterbalance of toffee and bitter hops. Needs bottle age to truly shine.
