COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The 2011 Vintage Ale, our 15th, is brewed with some of the finest of this year’s malt and hops. The malt grist includes a portion produced by Warminster maltings, from organic barley grown by Sir James Fuller on the Nestone Park Estate. This will be married with the choicest Goldings, Organic First Gold and award winning Sovereign hops, to produce a beer with a firm malt base, marmalade notes and a satisfying bitter finish. Individually packaged and numbered, this bottle is one of only one hundred and fifty thousand produced.

Bottled (No 52349 from Alko Prisma, Vaasa). Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral and sweet malty in a very nice balance.Flavour is sweet malts, quite floral and mild toffeeish notes as well. Quite bodied though my "short rating". I predict this one to be one to save 5-10 years. Ends rather sweet malty and bodied.

Light haze on this amber beer, tidy white head. Dry palate with fine carbonation. Dry caramel malt. Aniseed alcohol - obvious! Dried fruits. Alcohol gum numbing in the dry finish. Pretty poor! Really hope ageing improves this because it’s by far the worst of the Vintages I’ve tried. 2.3

Smooth and fairly dry malt with a little toffee. Pinch of spice. Mild dried fruit hops. Mild minerals. Semi dry finish. Much better but still not an outstanding vinatge.

Cask. Slightly hazy deep amber with a small and rough off-white head. Rustic fruity aroma, very flowery. Fairly solid body, very low carbonation, prunes and licorice with a warming alcoholic finish. Serious stuff. 161111
