COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, Released August 2012.

The 2012 Vintage Ale, our 16th, is brewed with three of this year’s finest hop varieties including, Goldings, award winning Sovereign and Target hops. These combined with our unique yeast and organic barley grown by Sir James Fuller on the Neston Park Estate result in a wonderful limited edition brew that has a luxurious flavour.

Individually packed and numbered, this bottle is one of only one hundred and twenty five thousand produced

Although we are obliged to state a best before date of 2015, like a fine wine or whisky, this mellow golden ale will improve with age for many more years

Being bottle conditioned, the beer will form a natural sediment, so pour carefully, sit back, and enjoy this, the very finest of Fuller’s ales.

Slightly hazy dark orange color with a bit of beige foam. Aroma is dried fruit forward, mostly dates and raisins, some caramelized sugar, overripe stonefruits and oranges and syrupy malt. Taste is fruity but there is also bready malt in the background and earthy bitterness on the finish. Medium body with low carbonation. Complex, fruity, nutty yet well balanced.

500ml bottle shared at Alex's. Pours a murky copper with a white head. Aroma is malty and dark fruits. Taste is very sweet with caramel and dark fruits notes. Too sweet for me.

Five years I've had this bottle. Now it's time to have it on christmas eve. The bottle pours hazy amber with off-white head. The aroma is delicous. Cake, toffee and fruits. This could be the most toffee beer I've had. I'm guessing aging this wasn't a bad idea. Flavour is medium sweet, toffee, cake, light to medium bitter. Smooth carbonation.

Aroma is grapes, spices, phenols, raisins. Taste is raisins, some christmas spices and more phenols. Quite drinkable. Pretty nice.

Bottle. Milky red amber, offwhite lace. Not as oxidized as the 2014 version. Spice, light leather, toffee. Plumpudding, a hint wood, hint of citric hops. Medium full mellow body. Citrus brandy finish - tastes surprisingly fresh. Wood and leather aftertaste.

Bottle. Hazy amber color with beige head. Aroma is malty, toffee, a touch fruity. Taste is toffee, candied fruitcake, a bit dusty finish. Somehow less oxidized than the 2014 version we have next to it. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Fun!

Koelschtrinker (22514) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - NOV 29, 2017
Runder, hell malziger Antrunk. Wenig würzig, eher trocken, spritzig, langer aber flacher Nachhall. Okay. 10/11/10/10//10
