Description - just about the same as everyone else has written. Iíve had every vintage since 1998 and while all previous vintages needed at least a year in the bottle to mature, the 2013 vintage was very drinkable in the year it was brewed. I donít know how they did it but it worked and Iím looking forward to trying the 2014 vintage early in 2015.

Kita (2117) - Koper, SLOVENIA - DEC 25, 2014
Bottle, 0.50l. Cloudy deep amber color with medium creamy off-white head with yellowish shade and sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, dark fruits, sherry, wood, toffee and roasted malts. Taste starts with smooth, rich and sweet maltiness, mildly roasted, follows by rich fruitiness and mild notes of wood. Mouthfeel is warming and alcoholic, while finish is moderate bitter. Full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Good one, but I prefer vintage 2012...

Overheard: "It took a long time to get ready because, you know, it takes a long time -- when youíre having contractions -- to put on pants."

marcus (10138) - Sacramento, California, USA - DEC 17, 2014
Bottle from Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours orange copper with a nice off-white head and a nutty malt aroma. There is a hearty sweet malt flavor with a tasty hop profile and a slightly bitter finish. A pleasure to drink.

ClubGonzo (5668) - Bergen, NORWAY - DEC 13, 2014
Bottle. Pours a hazy deep amber-hued orange body with a small off-white head. Nose is honey, caramel, toffee, biscuits, hints of red fruits, raisins, grains and bread. Taste is caramel, raisins, prunes, toffee, biscuits, vanilla and hints of burnt sugar, grass and port wine. Medium body and carbonation. Pleasantly accessible despite a fair amount of complexity, the stylish elegance of this series have yet to fail me. A bit more body would have made it even better, but all in all this is a very nice ESA.

BeerViking (4699) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 8, 2014
Red-brown with a fast-settling head and aromas of malty orange and something lightly herbal. Dry, fruity and herbal bitter, with hints of toffee, bittersweet and dry yet syrupy finish. Reminiscent of a herbal bitter liqueur. Itíll be interesting to see this age.

coranc (35) - IRELAND - DEC 7, 2014
Bottle as picture above. Pours brown-gold with decent white head. Aroma of fruits and all the caramels / toffees. Wish Iíd left this age more.
