lusikka (7813) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 28, 2014
500 ml bottle. Pours an amber colour with a small thick head. Aroma of toasted malts, some bread, nuts and sweet caramel. Flavour of toasted malts, nuts, sweetness, some mild graininess, white bread and some herbal notes. Medium bodied. Alcohol burns. Feels raw. Needs aging. Like 10 years or so. Nowhere close to the 10+ year old vintages. Decent. 7-3-7-3-13 3.3

Head: creamy color, thick when poured, thin layer when undisturbed, but doesnít disappear; beautiful lacing. Aroma: strong malt and sweet roast, smoked plum, raisins, also alcohol is noticeable Color: dark orange / amber, a bit hazy, but no floating yeast Taste: strong and roasty maltiness, sweet and smoky with strong plum taste, caramel reminds me of maple syrup. Palate: full body, medium to low carbonation, nice silky mouthfeel and good roasty aftertaste that stays for a long time after swallowing.

Senka (1082) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 16, 2014
50cl boxed. This year is all about the body. Feels like a thick thick IPA. Quite flat, but extremely thick. Fine carbonation makes the texture exquisite. Fruity and malty. Alcohol is not noticeable at all. A perfect strong ale in its sense. I actually need to re-stock on this one.
