mariuspoenari (2969) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - DEC 14, 2015
UPDATED: DEC 15, 2015 Caramel, malted sugars, faint cognac/bourbon aromas and alcohol. Very smooth mouthfeel. As the previous versions, it doesn’t disappoint. However, it is lacking the complexity and rich flavours of previous versions.

(Fullers Vintage 2013) Bottle 500 ml at home, served into a snifter, tasted side to side with vintage 2014. ABV 8.5% Dark orange colour on the body, clear, with a tall and thick enough off-white head on top. Good retention. Aroma of caramel, maramlade, dark fruits, figs, notes of nuts at first that fade away quickly, alcohol. Taste is sweet, with malts, caramel, a bit of cookie, alcohol, dates, raisins. Medium body, good carbonation, very dry palate. Nice.

VDuquerroux (1864) - Airvault, Haut-Poitou, FRANCE - OCT 4, 2015
Bottle, 50cL. @Naintré, with dad. A clear golden brown orange beer with a medium off-white head ; medium retention. Toffee roasty aroma, herbal, alcohol, fruity (prune). Medium sweet, light bitter, no refreshing, light warming. Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, sweet roasty warming finish. Overall, a pleasant roasty toffee english ale ; lack of depth. I was expected more of this one.

A sweet ale. ............................................. via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark Amber Smells strongly of toffee. Also butterscotch, licorice, banana, and chocolate. Sweet, medium bitter, quite estery but in a British way, medium finish. Too sweet for me, but it is the malt bomb I think it sets out to be.

3.4
Hopmaestro (1749) - Örebro, SWEDEN - AUG 28, 2015
Backlog from lost & found notes: Aroma of dark and fruity caramels. Dark malty caramels in the aroma. Taste brings fudge with raisins and dark plums. Alcohol well hidden. Dry and licorice in the finish.

A great beer with aroma, taste and palate! One of my favorite strong beers, a must!

3.4
Marduk (8401) - Reval, ESTONIA - AUG 20, 2015
500ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Deep dark amber color. Small size, white head, stays. Raisins, sweet, malty, berries in aroma. Malty, caramel, sweet roast, raisins, dark plums, tiny bit of yeast in taste. Raisins, malts and dark plums in aftertaste. Alcohol is there, but kind of hidden. Young and raw. Needs more time.
