Dark Amber Smells strongly of toffee. Also butterscotch, licorice, banana, and chocolate. Sweet, medium bitter, quite estery but in a British way, medium finish. Too sweet for me, but it is the malt bomb I think it sets out to be.

Backlog from lost & found notes: Aroma of dark and fruity caramels. Dark malty caramels in the aroma. Taste brings fudge with raisins and dark plums. Alcohol well hidden. Dry and licorice in the finish.

500ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Deep dark amber color. Small size, white head, stays. Raisins, sweet, malty, berries in aroma. Malty, caramel, sweet roast, raisins, dark plums, tiny bit of yeast in taste. Raisins, malts and dark plums in aftertaste. Alcohol is there, but kind of hidden. Young and raw. Needs more time.

500ml bottle (Solaris, Tallinn)
Rich copper, nice tight off-white head. Initially a lovely raisiny sweet rich aroma, like itís already 5 years old. Later itís a bit maltier and mashier. Smooth sweet palate, soft carbonation. Occasionally has a very nice rich raisiny and woody malty taste, but some sips are almost bland and mashy. At its best, itís gorgeous, easily worth an 8, but the blander sips are dull and mashy, defintely way too young and raw even though itís 18 months old. Do like the bitter finish, itís dry and almost liquoricey. Very much look forward to this when itís aged a bit more. No plan to drink this again in the next 3 years though.

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2017 pours down amazingly down throat. i think itís underrated a bit. the only lack of this beer is a persistent foam.

500ml bottle. Pours dark orange with a small head. Aroma is rich toffee, molasses and oily marmalade. Taste has orange and caramel with a little wood.

Bottle. Pours with a clear copper, bronze hued body with a medium sized foamy, tan head. Average lace and retention. Aromas are of rich malt, light nuttiness and melanoidin, dark fruit: plums, fig and cherry skins, mild sherry and doughiness. Floral. Medium esters. Warming and clean. Flavors are medium bitter, floral, sugar cookie, dark fruit esters, fig, marmalade. Some toasted malt and stewed prunes. Yeasty, slight marmite. Toast, coconut in the finish. Chewy toffee. Good, but not one of my favorite years of the Vintage ale. Medium body, slight warmth, toasty, medium dry, medium carbonation.

Beautiful packaging, bottle and pour. Cloudy Amber with off-white head. Deep plummy aroma with sweet alcohol notes. Cascading lace with a tip leading to a flavorful medley of fruit on the tongue. Lingering caramel finish.

W smaku zdecydowane nuty drewna, suszone owoce, rodzynki, lekko alkoholowy. Barwa ciemnobursztynowa, piana niewielka. W smaku w sumie blisko mu do barley wine, chociaż jest mniej syropowy i bardziej pijalny, ma też mniej ciała i więcej. No i cudowne, głębokie nuty od drewna. Bardzo dobre!
