Bottle. Pours a vibrant red-gold with a high, mixed-grain cream-colored head. Nose is fig, date, raisins, cardamom, coriander, turbinado sugar, dark rum, bourbon, Christmas cake, vanilla, caramel -- this is a big olí mix of deliciousness. Rich and smoky on the palate, shading more towards the darker flavors; itís even getting into chocolate and molasses on the tongue, with a tobacco and dark rum harmony note. Itís a little disjointed now, but given time it will integrate nicely... and I have a second bottle to put away and forget for a while. How serendipitous.

[ As Fullers Vintage Ale 2013 ].
Clear medium to dark yellow - orange amber color with a average, open and frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, fruity, dried berry - fruit, light caramell. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, vintage, dried fruit, malty, light alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. A bit ruff and young .. will improve by a bit of ageing ... [20130814]

Barwa i piana: barwa bursztynowa, głęboka, lekko zamglona. Piana lekko zabarwiona , kremowa, umiarkowanej wielkości o podobnej trwałości. Aromat: alkoholowy, winny i estrowy - czerwone owoce, wiśnie, śliwki. Goryczka i odczucie w ustach: umiarkowana goryczka, raczej delikatna i krůtka.

Bottle from LCBO. Aroma of raisin and brandy. Taste of toffee, raisin, marmalade, bitter finish. Very tasty. Maybe my favorite vintage ale. Or maybe Iím just really into it today.

Bottle(#24405):Deep orangey-golden, hazy, stable and lacy yellowish head; moderate to solid caramelly-nutty nose, accompanied by a slight alcoholic touch, some woody hops are there; medium to full bodied, moderate to solid sweet flavour, still a slight bitterness present, pretty full bodied; lingering caramelly and nutty finish, followed by balancing hops in the aftertaste. Yes, they canÖ

commonmac (1179) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 30, 2014
Bottle #110436 from a vintage sampler pack received. Poured into Belgian snifter glass. Reddish orange. Limited frothy head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, and heavy on dark fruits (plum and raisin). Taste is also dark fruit centric with some sweet, toffee elements. Decent balance. Finish is kind of abrupt. I think Iíve enjoyed the other, older years better but still a decent beer.

Description - just about the same as everyone else has written. Iíve had every vintage since 1998 and while all previous vintages needed at least a year in the bottle to mature, the 2013 vintage was very drinkable in the year it was brewed. I donít know how they did it but it worked and Iím looking forward to trying the 2014 vintage early in 2015.

Kita (2072) - Koper, SLOVENIA - DEC 25, 2014
Bottle, 0.50l. Cloudy deep amber color with medium creamy off-white head with yellowish shade and sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, dark fruits, sherry, wood, toffee and roasted malts. Taste starts with smooth, rich and sweet maltiness, mildly roasted, follows by rich fruitiness and mild notes of wood. Mouthfeel is warming and alcoholic, while finish is moderate bitter. Full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Good one, but I prefer vintage 2012...
