A great beer with aroma, taste and palate! One of my favorite strong beers, a must!

Impressionnante.

500ml bottle. Pours a gorgeous mahogany redish brown with a big, frothy beige head. Lovely spicy, golding aroma, with solid caramel, cereal malts. The mouthfeel is thick and luscious, the alcohol is present, but not over bearing, just a tad warming and spicy. The finish is grassy with mote subtle spicing from the hops. One of the best fresh fullers vintage ales ive had.

Sweet with aromas and taste of dried fruit. Mild bitterness on the finish. I have kept a few for the years to come. Other years have proven to age wuite nicely. 20072008, 2009, 2012

Bottled, with Oliva Robusto, dense orange ruby color with egg cream foam, caramel toffee nose with great flavor of oxidized nickel, plum, caramel, maple syrupy, one of the best in the series fresh

Bottle from LCBO. Aroma of raisin and brandy. Taste of toffee, raisin, marmalade, bitter finish. Very tasty. Maybe my favorite vintage ale. Or maybe I’m just really into it today.

Clearish brilliant dark copper with a wee white cap. Lovely nose of honey and toasted biscuit, with some lavendar and toast. Strong flavor featuring earthy toasted biscuits and honey and lavender and a certain boozy warmth, with some light sugar cane and light oak tones. Very full and nice and sweet and calming. A fireplace sipper without the giant strength.

Head: creamy color, thick when poured, thin layer when undisturbed, but doesn’t disappear; beautiful lacing. Aroma: strong malt and sweet roast, smoked plum, raisins, also alcohol is noticeable Color: dark orange / amber, a bit hazy, but no floating yeast Taste: strong and roasty maltiness, sweet and smoky with strong plum taste, caramel reminds me of maple syrup. Palate: full body, medium to low carbonation, nice silky mouthfeel and good roasty aftertaste that stays for a long time after swallowing.

Bottle, 0.50l. Cloudy deep amber color with medium creamy off-white head with yellowish shade and sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, dark fruits, sherry, wood, toffee and roasted malts. Taste starts with smooth, rich and sweet maltiness, mildly roasted, follows by rich fruitiness and mild notes of wood. Mouthfeel is warming and alcoholic, while finish is moderate bitter. Full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Good one, but I prefer vintage 2012...
