COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At Fulton, we love hops. That star in our logo is made out of hops, in case you hadnt noticed. Of course, the hops plant contributes to the character of all of our beers, but sometimes we just want more. Thats why we decided to brew the Sweet Child of Vine. Generous quantities of Simcoe and Glacier hops are added throughout the boil. Then, late in the fermentation process, we infuse the Sweet Child with another dose of Glaciers, imparting a bouquet of hop aroma that veritably bursts forth upon serving. But dont let all this talk of hops mislead you. The Sweet Child has a serious malt backbone to stand up to all those hops, creating a delightful balance that will keep you coming back for more. Its an IPA, Fulton-style.

On tap at Tony Romas, Mall of America. Sweet toffee malt in balance with pine and stone fruit and with strawberry notes. Almost clear bronze under a lacy white ring. Flavour is a balance of sweet caramel and assertive bitterness with apricot, pine, and a little pineapple. Medium body, medium carbonation, crisp.

Aroma - caramel and pine hops. Appearance - the body is hazed mahogany. The head is 2+" and beige in color. The head slowly settles. Great lacing. Taste - rich caramel malt, pungent and piney hops. There is also a little bit of herby hops. Palate - medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, dry abrupt finish.

Aroma isnt bad; appearance is pretty good Taste at first, while seeming more like a PA versus an IPA and fairly balanced, then in the finish lost that with an almost burning bitterness that was unpleasant though thankfully not too long lasting.

355ml bottle. This is not the greatest, some lemon-lime notes, pretty crappy.

Bottle, shared by me... in my dining room... just now.
Pours a full on orange color with a big tight white head and some lacing on the glass.

The aroma is sweet tarts, aspirin, melon and citrus forward hops, and a mild bit of crystal malt.

The flavor is leafy like romaine lettuce, lightly bitter but still manages an astringent finish, and has a bit of sweet tart flavor. The actual hop flavor is reasonably low but features a bit of citrus zest and a little bit of floral character.

Um, I swear this was reasonably good on draught, but wow!

16 oz can to pint. Pours hazy copper, creamy beige head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine and grass. Taste of the same with a green tea bitter finish. Mouthful is mod syrupy, appropriate carb.

Tap in MSP airport. Remembered as a good IPA, this tap seemed boozy and off putting. Very possibly a bad snapshot. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

16iz can shared. Poured a medium dark orange with white head. The aroma is strictly English ipa. Medium malt base and a medium hop aroma light citrus scent. The flavor is more of the same nice mellow malt and a medium hop flavor not a west coast or east coast ipa but an English ipa. Very drinkable.

On tap at the Tipsy Cow in Madison, WI. for pre-GToM festivities. Dispensed to a shaker showing a hazed, amber color, with light tan head foam, and some wavy cling to the lacing. The nose was subtle perfume, light citrus, and resin. Medium bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste was again citrus, with moderate but forceful pine, and an earthy, citrusy, and rind-like hop bitterness. A little tanginess came along for the ride. Liked it!
