At Fulton, we love hops. That star in our logo is made out of hops, in case you hadn’t noticed. Of course, the hops plant contributes to the character of all of our beers, but sometimes we just want more. That’s why we decided to brew the Sweet Child of Vine. Generous quantities of Simcoe and Glacier hops are added throughout the boil. Then, late in the fermentation process, we infuse the Sweet Child with another dose of Glaciers, imparting a bouquet of hop aroma that veritably bursts forth upon serving. But don’t let all this talk of hops mislead you. The Sweet Child has a serious malt backbone to stand up to all those hops, creating a delightful balance that will keep you coming back for more. It’s an IPA, Fulton-style.

Can. Thanks, N! Pours a clear medium/dark amber with a sudsy pale tan head that goes away quickly. Weird brown bread and boiled marjoram nose. Watery body with flabby carb. Brown bread and boiled marjoram mid palate. Did this get stale, or was it always like this? Something went wrong with the hopping; the hop notes are even flatter than a simple hop tea.

dnstone (3418) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - MAR 13, 2017
Copper color with a significant amount of hop chunks floating through out and an off white head. Light hop aroma. Light hop flavor and solid malt body. Notes: On bottle at Stone Arch in MSP, Mar ’17.

Minnesota Trip Beer #19. Keg at Scuzzy’s, 5/7/16. Clear copper, large creamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of mild herbal hops. The taste is herbal hops and caramel malts. Medium bodied, strong lingering bitterness.

I always thought Surlys Furious was the best until I had Fulton Sweet Child of Vine, (on tap).It blew Surly’s away. Every beer they produce is top notch. And they bottle it (not can’s). Highly recommended on tap, but bottled is pretty darn good as well.

Draft. Pours bronze with thick light beige head and lacing. Grapefruit and earthy grass hop aroma. Bread crust malt with earthy hops and grapefruit notes. A maltier IPA; not an especially hoppy IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
