At Fulton, we love hops. That star in our logo is made out of hops, in case you hadn’t noticed. Of course, the hops plant contributes to the character of all of our beers, but sometimes we just want more. That’s why we decided to brew the Sweet Child of Vine. Generous quantities of Simcoe and Glacier hops are added throughout the boil. Then, late in the fermentation process, we infuse the Sweet Child with another dose of Glaciers, imparting a bouquet of hop aroma that veritably bursts forth upon serving. But don’t let all this talk of hops mislead you. The Sweet Child has a serious malt backbone to stand up to all those hops, creating a delightful balance that will keep you coming back for more. It’s an IPA, Fulton-style.

Floral, citrus, earthy, mild dish soap. Medium head. Very clear clean taste. Gift from brother Jimmy.

16 oz can, into a tulip glass. Pours slightly hazy reddish dark orange with thin white head. Aroma is sweet murky caramel malt, an odd almost complete lack of hops. Taste is similar - sticky roasty caramel malt, some hops are dank and lightly bitter. This may be an older can, but almost shockingly lacking in flavor. A decent malt backbone, does seem lacking in hops, this has to be much better fresh.

Draught @ District Tap House. Clear rich yellow with very small frothy off-white head, faint citrus peel aroma, medium carbonation, mildly bitter citrus peel taste over malt flavor, mildly tangy thin body, long finish. Flavorful.

Not satisfied. I like IPA's but not this one. Kinda has a tin type taste in there somewhere. Ya not good. I'm gonna finish this bottle but am glad I didn't get a six pack of this. Just not the nice hoppy taste of an IPA that I'm looking for. Would not purchase this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: NOV 11, 2017 On tap in pint glass. Cloudy amber beer, small beige head, not Cloudy like NE ipa but kind of looks like a slushy. Nose is hay, grapefruit, subdued. Medium body, slightly sweet, medium bitterness, soft carbonation.

DocLock (11189) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 6, 2017
Can from Smith's. Pours hazy copper with floaties and white head. Nose is a great vinous hop resin, citrus, pineapple. Tastes piney, hoppy, with notes of pineapple, cold coffee, peppery oils, and grapes. Solid IPA.

Poured a medium dark orange with white head. The aroma is strictly English ipa. Medium malt base and a medium hop aroma light citrus scent. The flavor is more of the same nice mellow malt and a medium hop flavor not a west coast or east coast ipa but an English ipa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can sample at an IPA tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Amber, beige head. Malt, caramel, slightly stale citric hops, a bit of toastiness, sweetish, bitter finish, medium-bodied. Decent

Copper World with a nice-sized off white head. Nice nose of citrus, some pine and sweet malt. Nice big hoppy flavor with orange peel but well-balanced of malt.

12oz bottle pour is amber with off white head aroma is citrus and light hops taste is slight citrus sweet malt and a slight pine dry finish

Can. Thanks, N! Pours a clear medium/dark amber with a sudsy pale tan head that goes away quickly. Weird brown bread and boiled marjoram nose. Watery body with flabby carb. Brown bread and boiled marjoram mid palate. Did this get stale, or was it always like this? Something went wrong with the hopping; the hop notes are even flatter than a simple hop tea.
